Let's make it 0-7 this weekend!
This is arguably (and maybe not even arguably) the most powerhouse NFL playoff match-up in 47 years. Every football fan, regardless of which team they are a fan of, should be salivating at this upcoming game.Still, NFL couldn't have asked for a better NFC championship. Best two teams in the league.

I'm still baffled by that game as its such an outlier and much worse defenses have been much better since that game against them. I feel confident that Macdonald will fix whatever the issue is. I don't think our scheme is susceptible to their offense or anything like that. I'm sure they will get some wins and score some points but I think its much more manageable.....At least I hope so.We already have two games this year to show us that it won't be like that. Plus these are division rivals, so anything is possible.
The Rams secondary is suspect; we can and have exploited that. But then ours went belly-up too during the last matchup.

Came off a short week and I think that factored in. Play a clean game and we'll winI'm still baffled by that game as its such an outlier and much worse defenses have been much better since that game against them. Just like the 2013-2014 playoff season.Still, NFL couldn't have asked for a better NFC championship. Best two teams in the league.

Probably because Mcvay is as strong in his specialty (offense) as Macdonald is in his (defense). Well, almost. Realistically we had what shirt rest and 3 games almost boom boom boomI think the short-rest (Being on a Thursday following a Sunday game) played a major role.
The first meeting where they had normal rest, they held Stafford to just 130 passing yards.
It was a total of 249 yards total offense the Defense gave up that was only that much because Kyren had 119 and a TD.
Look for this game to resemble more of the First meeting but without Kyren being as effective, and without Sam tossing freebies to the Rams.
Back to back to back. There was a stretch in the schedule we had 3 games close together a few days apartView attachment 77742

J, love ya man but I am confused as to what you are saying here.![]()

To be fair: BOTH teams came off of a short week so you cannot use that as an excuse.Came off a short week and I think that factored in. Play a clean game and we'll win
I think this and the fact that the WR market was reset pay wise and there are that many elite WR and TE's. Just my thought is that RB's will start becoming more of the center piece of a offense. They will get paid more and owners don't have to pay QB's 80mil per yearI think the league is swinging back away from the high powered passing games and to more basic football styles, with defense and running game. A couple of decades ago, the number of games won by teams with a 100 yard rusher were statistically more common than those who threw for 300.
Schemes and player skills have improved wildly since back then, but teams are learning that a high pick QB is not such a guarantee of great success on the field as it seemed to be since about 2000 or so.
What was the excuse in Week 11 then when the Hawks had normal rest and held Stafford to 130 yards passing? To be fair: BOTH teams came off of a short week so you cannot use that as an excuse.
(plus, McVay left our win to go have that baby. Stupid baby. Rams have never been the same again since he went to the hospital after that game).

Phillip Rivers really demonstrated something interesting. A middle aged Phillip Rivers came off the couch after 4 years of being retired? No practice, no arm strength, overweight, 14 kids in tow and he looked better than half the NFL QBs.I think the league is swinging back away from the high powered passing games and to more basic football styles, with defense and running game.
