Charbs done for season

We’ve been so lucky, overall, with injuries…

We will be ok. 8 quarters to go…

8 quarters to go. The climax of this journey is almost here.

I feel bad for Charbs. I also hate that we’ll be missing an excellent blocking back on top of his running skills. I do believe though we will be ok. K9 was our best runner in both games against the rams getting 67 & 100 yards wile Charbs only had 37 & 32 yards.

Whether they choose to bring Holani back from IR or roll with Jones and or Akers, I think we will be fine as far as being able to spell Walker from time to time. As far as blocking goes, we have several TEs and a FB if we need them in 3rd and long situations.

I’m more concerned about losing his blocking than I am going without his carries.
Doesn’t get recognized on the regular for blocking but he’s pretty darn good at it.

Yeah, that sucks, but our backups across the roster this year have done pretty well overall. Next man up.

And I hope he's good for next year.

Agreed - Jones looked good, and if I remember correctly, we cut a pretty good rb pre-season. We're fairly deep at that position.

Maybe we see more end-arounds with Rashid? If Rams stack the box, I think that will happen.

If our offensive gameplan works the same as last game, we’ll be fine. Short passes, Sam in a rhythm, defense respecting the play action.

If we can’t get the run going, the play action won’t be as effective. Sam dropping back without a RB picking up blocks will really hurt

Activate Akers. He will have incentive to beat his Old Team.

Over the years we seem to be experts at drafting running backs and receivers. But other than Rashid, we've sucked at trading for them.

Feel bad for Charbs, but Akers is more than capable if they have him play, just he is a feed back and gets better as the game goes, Holani may be a better option as a spark, Jones looks like a power guy but so far not a lot of wiggle, need the best guy who can block and catch.

The way our line is opening holes up, I think Holani would be better getting up field.

There's Charbs going down plus the fact that Walker has never been the most available RB. Until this year, he has always had some nagging injury somewhere. Charbs provided rest for Walker and kept him fresh. Just hope his running style doesn't land him on the injury report like it has in the past.

Agree though that Akers is an experienced stand in.

Also adds to the intreague in the matchup if he has a solid game against his old team.

I’d seriously look at Jamal Williams. TD leader with Lions a few years ago. Played under Kubiak with Saints for 2 seasons so he should know the Playbook. FA and only 30.
