2019 Ravens.

Favored to win the SB, broke all kinds of records, went 14-2.

Lost in the divisionals to Ryan Tannehill.

Anything can happen, so I voted no. Hoping that fate will again prove me wrong, as it's been pretty reliable for the last 7 weeks.
That’s my gut feeling too. The situation at left tackle is uncertain at the moment, and if the rookie has to play a lot, it might be rough.

I feel like injuries are the biggest reason this team might not make / win the Super Bowl. But this team, when healthy has everything needed to win a championship this season.

Home field. Rested. Overall healthy. Running game locked in, finally. Best Defense in football. Well coached. A team that ACTUALLY ADJUSTS in game.
I’m so glad NFL Network and ESPN were all saying the Texans are the best defense in the league Tuesday morning… I think our defense comes out fired up with a point to prove Saturday

I look at this season and can see that we very easily could have been 17/0 tight now. But things just didn't happen that way every time so we are 14/3 and riding a long winning streak.
I do not bet on people. People are too fickle and will f**k you over just for the satisfaction to say they succeeded at doing that.
I made my living for awhile and scored some huge wins tracking result patterns and waiting to playuntil I had a perfect storm identified.
Are we on track for a perfect storm? We might very well be, but I wouldn't bet on it. The long term pattern says no, while the short term pattern says WOOHOO.
So for me we're already in gravy mode. Whatever happens happens.

Most ‘talking heads’ rankings either come down to points or yards allowed.

Defensive rankings vs Texans, vs the rest of the League.

Points Allowed
Seattle (1) 292
Houston (2) 295

Total Yards Allowed
Houston (1) 4713
Seattle (6) 4860

Passing Yards Allowed
Buffalo (1) 2668
Houston (6) 3120
Seattle (10) 3297

Rushing Yards Allowed
Jacksonville (1) 1455
Seattle (3) 1563
Houston (4) 1593

Total Turnovers
Chicago (1) 33
Houston (3) 29
Seattle (6) 25

All round, not too shabby for Year Two.

I'm curious about the DVOA stats, but won't pay the $ for the privilege of seeing them.

I like our chances to get to the SB.

If we faced Houston in the SB, well, we already beat them 27-19 when neither team was playing as well as they are now.

If we have to go through the 9ers and Rams and then play Houston? I wonder if any SB winner has ever faced only teams in the playoffs it had already played in the regular season... Google AI says no. That would be a cool "first," wouldn't it?!?

They brought it out from behind the paywall for once. Good article. And they do have us as favorites.

Houston's very good, but so are we.
