If they do load the box, they'll definitely the shade their single safety over to JSN.

Shaheed is faster than any DB they have. We gotta take advantage of that.
Sam also has to "moonball it" to Shaheed and not try to pin-point the pass.

I know he is accurate with his Deep passes but Shaheed is fast enough to catch up to any pass Sam throws from what I understand.

The guys you you list as massive upgrades over Darnold haven't proven anything either though. Darnold has made massive plays in key moments every time this year he's needed to and there are a bunch of them. Herbert, Love, Stroud, Maye haven't proven anything yet in the playoffs just like Darnold. The only guys in the playoffs I think are automatically better than Darnold are Allen and......well that might be it. I do like Purdy a lot but he completely fell apart against Seattle right? I think Herbert has a bright future but he did fall apart in the playoffs I think in his only appearance(I could be wrong) and even if not he hasn't won anything. Stroud is inconsistent. Rogers is an all timer for sure.
Maye has one win against a .500 team or something crazy like that. How can you trust Maye and not Darnold who has beaten 6 playoff teams this year? that makes zero sense. Hurts has played well in the playoffs but has been a mess this year for large stretches.
Allen and Stafford and maybe burrow there’s some unproven rookies I like, but Sam is pretty darn good. Stafford is getting a little too long in the tooth though. Burrow is probably too much of a liability now. And I think Sam is just getting started. It’s kinda like only his third year. He’s going to improve still

Hahaha how many people on here would have geno ahead of Sam last year….
Not only that they acted like it wasn't close and if you disagreed you don't know ball......It's the most bizarre groupthink situation that I will never understand in franchise history.

You do know he is right behind Marino for most completions and a number of other Stats, or was when he retired. The man willed his team to win many times. For a Seahawks QB he was as close as I could thijnk of in what Darnold does.
Dave Krieg was seriously under-rated (even by Seahawks fans) as a QB. I loved watching him play.

In addition, he was the opposite of a diva, very humble and he would frequently show up at a bar and have a beer with fans and play darts. I heard that no one could beat him at darts.

Mudbone is a cool dude. Out of Milton College, a college that doesn't even exist now.

I love Krieg, he's my second favorite Seahawk QB ever.

This is the best way to put it. It's fine Keasely you view Geno as near elite who has had bad luck his whole career. We see it the other way. We can all disagree as sports fans and that's half of what makes being a sports fan fun.

Man.
This nonsense is comical.

The number of times someone saying Geno was borderline top 10 (because when it was stated, he literally was) has been turned into them saying Geno is elite is too many to count. I can screenshot instances when myself and others said he was top 10 to 12 (because that's what he was until Grubb came along) and STILL the next thread, there was the accusations that if you didn't see his play as unworthy of being a starter, that you were called an apologist and thought he was elite.

Now when you guys are 'defending' Sam, you are getting all bent out of shape and feeling 'attacked' or 'raged' against when the same things you called unacceptable with Geno are 'ok' ... ' he doesn't need to be perfect ' with Sam.

It is the most insane and blatantly transparent case of a double standard as I have ever seen.

Geno was almost run out of town his first year starting with chants of : he can't close out a game, he chokes, he can't win a playoff game. Dude got ZERO leeway from the GeNos / ME3s / Samolites (curiously mostly all the same people).

The dude got an MVP vote and fans here called it 'sympathy'. And he did it on a joke of a team.

There was even conversation that Lock should start in front of him... Drew Lock.

But keep it going. At this point it's pretty entertaining.

Geno will never EVER be in the same category of Russ. Now THAT is what is entertaining. People tried to create some great elite QB out of him. And a select few STILL actually believe he was great.

Translation - get the hell over the Geno thing. He's GONE. He was above average, NOTHING MORE. And certainly not clutch.

There is a reason no one agrees with you. He wasn't top 10 and isn't now.

I can't find a single thing in this paragraph I think is objective or right.

You're accusing everyone of the same thing almost everyone in this thread has accused you of. Is it possible you're partially wrong or is it more likely everyone else is wrong and youre the only one who's right?

I've been completely objective with Geno and Sam and if you want to go point by point to show me why I haven't then lets discuss it.

The idea no one called Geno elite is also false. I can name multiple people in here who called him elite. I'm not going to bring them back into this because everyone is tired of this debate but I can think of 3-4 right off the top of my head. Geno was borderline top 10 for half a season when he won the job. He hasn't been since then or the decade leading up to that. With that as your basis for someone being top 10 then what was Darnold to start the year? He would be too.

And you made the claime that the geno haters were russ lovers. I would make the same argument the other way. Almost every geno apologist hated Russ and its painfully obvious why that's the case.

Here we are, and yes I'm part of it, arguing over a FORMER QB, who WANTED OUT. And we're 2 days away from the biggest game in a decade.
