Happy to know the time of the game after all the hotels in Seattle are now charging 2x the regular room rates as a result of the confusion created by this institutional greed, and the opportunity created by the NFL. Living 300 miles away of course we had to book two nights. Without fans the games are truly irrelevant, without fans the league becomes just another entertainment opportunity with arguably skewed outcomes.
If you have an inkling that there might be a game on a certain date, and you might make the trip, make refundable reservations for it. In this case, making one reservation for a Saturday night game, and a second reservation for a Sunday night game, as early as possible, would be ideal.
I do this for my daughter's gymnastics comps, because the actual schedule often doesn't come out until a week or two before the meet. We know which weekend the comp is, but not if she will be slotted to Fri, Sat, or Sun.
I usually make two to three reservations, covering all travel possibilities, and cancel the ones I don't need.
I don't particularly like doing this to the hotels, and I won't do it for meets where I've noticed that the hotels don't raise rates as the competition gets closer. I don't feel bad doing it to the hotels who do raise rates.
