They didn't bring him back moreso because they wanted to JUSTIFY their drafting of JJ McCarthy and also because they wanted to save money since Sam was looking for Term more than just money, and the Vikings didn't want to commit.

I think the Hawks should have gone a different route, they didn't need Geno 2.0. You were singing through praises of Geno til he shit the bed. I feel they should have drafted a QB instead of getting another career backup.

We did Draft a QB, he is a work in progress, we also have Locke as backup who isn't all that bad, Darnold is in Elite company for what he has done the last 2 years, and still playing looking at the schedule, is he perfect, absolutely not, he is one to own his mistakes, lead, and is coachable. He works on his game to get better. Most successful QB's do that as well as have good teams built around them. I will take him.
