Why have the hawks looked like zombies in the last few games? Slow snail like starts. They faced a 44 yr.old QB yesterday and never blizzed once. They should have won by 3 touchdowns. If they what to beat the rams they have better get there ass in gear early. NO field goals. Been a Seahawks fan since the Kingdome. Please start fast, use the pass to set up the run. Go Hawks
For starters the Seahawks have one of the lowest blitz rates in the NFL. Second, you don't blitz a QB who is already starting his throwing motion before he's even received the snap.

Blitzing Rivers wouldn't have been a smart idea, regardless of what the clueless announcers said last night. Rivers was getting the ball out faster than the blitz would have gotten to him, sending more players opens up hot routes that would have gashed the defense downfield. The smarty play was force them to sustain long drives, which outside of one drive, the Colts couldn't do especially in the second half. The bigger problem was our offense not getting into rhythm and handing the ball back to the Colts with good field position. If the offense had scored a TD or two, the defense would have been able to get a little more aggressive. That didn't happen, so defense had to work with what was given to them.

^^^^^Agree^^^^^

Our lack of screen defense might have cost us the game. Fortunately we defended it pretty well yesterday.

What do you mean?
The Hawk were blitzing plenty in the first half, Rivers was burning them
with blitz beating quick outs.
Rivers always had a quick release, same for Manning and Brady.
You cannot blitz a pocket QB that has a quick release.
I know the younger ones never got to see this type, a shame really.

I think we’re going to beat them.

But, if the offensive production in the first half resembles what it has lately, it’ll be a helluva uphill climb.

We can’t play that prevent defense and expect to shut down Pacua.

To beat the lambs, the hawks need to open the hidden playbook (on offence), you know the one that there is no film on and has not been used in a game but practiced every week.
It's the only way.

Without Adams this offense gets way less potent.
That's the theory. Obviously a $20M per year player will be missed, but I really like the Rams WR group. I like the Rams WR6 more than I like Dareke Young, Cody White, or Bobo. I thought playing 13 personnel over 11 personnel in the 1st game was a tactical mistake.

It definitely was. Hawks D plays well against it.

I doubt the same mistake is made again.

Our Oline HAS to play lights out. We have to hold onto the ball absolutely as much as possible. As few of 3 and outs as possible. I don't care if they try to force the running game, as long as it doesn't continuously leave us in 3rd and longs. When we do pass we have to protect Sam, or roll him/or move the pocket. Or quick outs. The man doesn't handle pocket presser well. I don't have many complaints with the defense of course, but they will have to bring pressure. We can't just sit in coverage all night if we aren't getting pressure. MM will have to have a great game plan for the D if the front 4 can't harass Stafford. But in the end, it all comes down to our Oline. If we can get 3-4yds average run play, and stay in 3rd and short (or better yet, no 3rd down situations at all, like early in the year) we'll do just fine. Just my thoughts.

Maybe it's just me but I keep thinking why are they not running Charbonnet more? K9 has a better average per carry but he's like 2 yards or less over and over and then he breaks a rare one to bolster the average. Charbs is a more consistent 3-4 yards with the same ability to break one occasionally. I think K9 is also too injury prone as well.
