Stafford is ass in the rain agreed but our key to victory is redzone offense and execution. The defense will more than likely dominate again it’ll boil down to execution
You know what's hilarious?

Many Clams fans out there (especially on twitter and youtube comments) are saying that "well...don't expect Stafford to have his worst game of the year again when we face you" while ignoring the fact that the reason he had his worst game of the year was because of the Hawks D. 😂

First place on the line. A first round bye on the line

But it is not this game against the Rams that will be a must win. No that will be the third games against the Rams. Winning the third game against them is all that matters

It all comes down to one thing, can we go on a win streak in the playoffs

I agree.

It's the third game that is most important.

And it's really hard to beat a team three times in one season.

that is a myth. from 1970 - 2023, teams that won the first 2 games in the regular season were 15-9 in the playoff (re)matchup, including 13-6 at home. the Seahawks have lost to the same team in a season 3 times at least twice - 2004 vs. the Rams and 2022 vs. SF. people like to say it's hard to beat the team a 3rd time, but the reality is the better team more often than not wins the 3rd game.

It doesn't mean it isn't really hard to beat a team 3 times in a season. It absolutely is. Thanks for the stats though, I'm actually surprised it's 15-9 for a team that's trying to win 3 times against one team in a season.

Thank you - that is good to know! I feel better.

You do know that he floats in midair to the games like the rest of his team. Of course, the refs fly with him.

I crack me up

Let's talk about the weather. I'm currently seeing rain and higher than normal winds in the forecast for Thursday. I wonder who that might favor?

I'm wondering what MM might have up his sleeve in his defensive strategies for the Rams? Methinks he might have been saving up certain looks/coverages/blitz packages for this one in an attempt to throw their offense off. We've got to get Stafford on his back.

The optimist in me wants to say that the reason why there was such an awful showing against the Colts was because they didn't want to show ANYBODY their cards they have in their deck for the Thursday showdown against the Rams.

The pessimist side of me wants to say that it was just a bad game from us and it showed our weaknesses. Every team can afford a bad game. Sure. But so close to a game that could potentially clench us a playoff spot? I'd think we would want to show our dominant side with at LEAST one touch down.

I think we're going to see a side of Seattle that we haven't seen this year yet with the play making calls. We're treating this game like it's for the NFC Championship. It's going to be a ride.

Holding the Rams' Stafford to a mere 130 yards the last time, the lowest yards allowed by any team this season, was more than enough to beat them. Hope to see this happen again this Thursday, along with way less turnover generosity.

I like this but, the overarching thing I see is that he progressively got better and better.

First game of the season and all.

I think our D can do it again but, I have no doubt he’ll have more than 130 yards.

This game is on Kubiak and the O-line. It's his job to come up with a plan to attach the Rams defense. It's the O-lines job to not crumple like paper under the Ram's pass rush.

I don't want to see another conservative gameplan where we do nothing for two to three quarters. We shouldn't have to wait until we are in danger of losing the game to play more aggressively. I don't want to see a "hide the quarterback" style offense. We all know how it eventually turns out for teams that run that style of offense. The quarterback will have to step up at some point and make multiple big plays. Kubiak knows Sam's strengths--play to them. The Rams are not going to let us run and I don't want to stick with the run if it's going to leave us behind the chains constantly.

It's sink or swim time for Sam.

I don't want to see Pete Ball. I don't want to see the Seahawks playing not to lose. Those days are supposed to be over with. This is a new regime. We should be able to throw punches with the Rams.

LET'S GO!!!!!!!

Yes I have got myself into a few YT comments section arguments on this very point. Even when pointing out to expect a defense that has had 9 INTs all year outside of the game vs us, to have another 4 INTs game, 2 of which were deep in our own end is not particularly wise. Reversion to the mean! I have a deep desire for any win against this lot, but man would it be good for our defense to stomp the sh*t out of them.
