Darnold doesn’t really look at it that way. Revenge for what? The Vikings would’ve sucked ass without Darnold last year and was the reason they even made the playoffs. Sam wanted the Seahawk QB job he’s a west coast guy and was waiting for the right fit and franchise.

Yeah, this shouldn't be considered a "revenge game", or at least I hope he isn't petty enough to consider it one. Darnold has absolutely no reason to harbor ill will towards the Vikings. They gave him a chance and signed him to a considerable one-year contract last season, in spite of his career having being largely disappointing, and gave him a potent offense where he was able to thrive and set himself up for even more money later. In hindsight, yeah they shouldn't have drafted McCarthy, but nobody at that time was blaming them for hedging their bets.

Even still, the Vikings offered him basically the same money we did, but not the years, and he understandably went where he wasn't the designated bridge QB.

Darnold is a very good system QB. So I think its important to see Kubiak get back to finding his way this weekend. There's no need, point, to Danold throwing for 400 and 4 TDs against a doormat team that he should thank for letting him free. That style of play will get us bounced in the 1st round. I'd rather see us trying to run for 200+ , since that was supposed to be our identity. Running gun on 1st and 10 pisses me off. Playaction is our best pass play. And ball control will give teams less opportunities against our defense

Needs more Checkdowns.

I feel that if Darnold had more checkdowns to throw to against the Rams, he wouldn't have forced throws that resulted into those picks.

Justin Jefferson will eat his lunch if he doesn't play at the top of his game
JJ only has 700 something yards which is half of what JSN has but a lot of that is piss poor quarterback play for the Vikings. Our key to a blowout win is zero turnovers because Seattle is the better team period

Jefferson is phenomenal. He always a threat.
Darnold made sure of that last year.

Now he's made JSN a threat.

He also made Tori Horton (when healthy) a threat

He's a WR-threat maker. 🙃

Up Next? Rashid Shaheed being made a threat.

I hate to admit it, but I'm having a hard time getting into the hawks now after seeing Sam play so poorly against the Rams. Until he gets that monkey off his back and proves he can beat them, I'm going to remain a [hopeful] skeptic. I expect them to win against the Vikes, but have the next Rams game on the 18th circled.
Hard time “getting into the Hawks”?

Because of a bad game by the QB?

Ok fair enough.

The 9ers or Cowboys are always looking for a new follower.

Bye Felicia!

Fact:

Seahawk fans have endured WAY worse, and If that game makes you question your own fandom, you really should question it even further.

I’ll be the first to admit, I didn’t like it, and I was very unsatisfied with the win over the Titans but……

I also can't get into a playoff contender pushing for the No.1 seed in the NFC.

We all suffered Geno for years, and it was unwatchable at times. Many times. And they still offered him an extension. Many here (for years) were saying how awesome he was, and those who dared voice the [contrary to groupthink] opinion that he wasn't, like myself, got hammered for it. Look how that turned out. It turns out that those of us who have seen a few things and have skeptical opinions can be proven right after all. Ginger Jesus is better than Geno obviously, even though their turnover numbers are similar, but we'll have to wait and see what happens. He is a lot more fun to watch, and I like his leadership too. There's a lot to like. I get it.

If Sam turns the corner, awesome. But if he doesn't, and he keeps losing in the biggest moments, I don't want to see the Hawks ride a losing horse for three more years like we did with Geno. In the biggest moments, winners refuse to lose. Prime Russ was that guy. It remains to be seen if Sam is that guy or not. Have faith, but not blind faith. Keep one eye open. That's all I'm saying. I've been a Hawks fan since the 80's so don't bother with all the self righteous homerism posts. I'm entitled to my [not uninformed] opinion just like everyone here, and if you don't agree with me, hooray, good for you. I guess I just have a mild case of Geno ptsd. Lol.

Yea ok, if you say so.

My stance is, I’m a Seahawk fan.

I’m a Seahawk fan regardless, without regard to wins/losses, players, coaches, or even ownership.
The only thing that would make me jump ship, would be a Sonics scenario
ie. The Portland SeaHawks /The Oklahoma Lightning.

1974 was the year that it was announced that Washington/Seattle would be getting a franchise.
I vowed then to be a fan but that’s how “I” roll.
By all means, you do you.
