I read the internet stories as well. I don't know if Saubert was earning $170K more than the Seahawks were happy with so they cut and re-signed him to the lower amount. That would be petty since it would only be for 10/18ths of the difference. I'd like to think Saubert was having a family day at a casino so both sides engineered a way for him to not be on the roster at the time - just to prevent a league fine. That's my sort of procedural move.Flv, don’t know what roster spot the team needed. Hawkstorian has a theory which you can find near the end of the present roster thread, still it’s confusing. Really can’t understand why he needed to be cut then re-signed to adjust his contract? Is there some Collective Bargain language that requires this to happen?
