I mean I get it.. but also why be a fan if you arent gonna watch the most important games? One of if not the most important games in franchise history

I don’t have the diehard emotional investment but I also am not a fan of stressing out for 3 hours straight about it either. Hence checking the score periodically.

Works for me. 🤷‍♂️

The whole team was just completely out of it last night. I'd even argue it was one of Cals worst games of his career. 0-4 with 3 strikeouts and a DP with the bases loaded. Plus the throwing error that brought in a run.
We need the Whole team to pull their heads out of their asses if we want a chance tonight. Can't have 3 errors. Giving that lineup extra at bats is a death sentence. This team is clearly gassed but it's not over yet. Lets freaking Go Ms!

Hahaha no I wasn’t , I swear. I was reacting to chapow, he used the word deserve. My take is no one “deserves” the World Series, weather your great or garbage it is earned

I was responding to someone else that brought up "deserves".

I think talking about who deserves what in sports in dumb and weird. No team ever wins because they "deserve" to win, and no team ever loses because they "deserve" to lose. It has nothing to do with anyone deserving anything. Either you win or you don't.

Like you said, if you get to the WS, you earned it. "Deserves" is irrelevant.

I don't know about anybody else, but I'm exhausted as a fan of this team. It's been an exhausting season to watch. I can't take much more of it. They are so up and down. One minute you're thinking they're as good as any team after an incredible stretch of games, and the next thing you know they look as bad as just about any team dumping game after game. One minute you're thinking we got this, this division is ours for the taking, and the next thing you know you're wondering if we can hold onto the final wild card spot by the hair on our chinny-chin-chins.

Same goes for the playoffs. We enter the divisional round as the hottest team in the league (minus that final Dodgers series which really didn't matter) facing a Tigers team that barely made the playoffs after a near historic late season collapse. And there we are in extras in game five after going inning after inning where we can't manufacture one damn game winning run, until we finally do when I have literally nothing left in the tank as a fan.

Then bring on the Jays in the ALCS. We somewhat astoundingly leave Toronto with a 2-0 series lead with three games at home before us. What do we do? We drop the first two, and suddenly game five becomes an almost must win for us. And we do win it. But only after dragging it out through run-less innings until Cal hits a mile high HR that I couldn't believe made it beyond the fence. Then the gift of a walk-walk-HBP that loads the bases and effing Geno actually goes clutch and hits one out.

At this point, I'm starting to think we're just some kind of team of destiny heading back to Toronto with a 3-2 series lead. What do we do next? Play an utterly awful game marred with horribly located pitches at the wrong time, multiple errors in the field, and twice leaving the bases loaded with less than two out without getting a single run across the plate.

And now game seven tonight. I'm effing exhausted. This is such a hit-or-miss (literally) team that I have no idea whatsoever what's going to happen tonight, what team is going to show up. Flip a coin. LOL

I'm sure some will disagree, but the rest of Dan Wilson's career could well hinge on what he does today to get his team locked in and ready to win.
I don't know about that. Love him or hate him, he's gotten this team farther along than any manager in team history. You don't fire a guy after that, especially not in his 1st full season.

While I'm not a Wilson fan, he wasn't the one swinging at FIRST PITCHES with bases loaded, when the pitcher was the one in trouble. In BACK TO BACK innings.

The converse being, if he gets the team truly locked in tonight playing clean, smart baseball, I see him being around a good while.

I will say this. Watching this series, Toronto has a formidable hitting lineup from top to bottom. They are a very good contact hitting team with men on base. I'm almost envious of them in that way as an M's fan. I thought before this series began that the key for us was for our starters to at least keep the game close till the later innings, and hopefully our bullpen would prove to be better than theirs and we could prevail in the series.

Well that hasn't worked out well. LOL Our best start came from Bryce Miller so far. I'm almost surprised that we're in a game seven here, and thankful for that. They've outscored us 33 runs to 27, and, even more significantly, outhit us 55 hits to 42. And yet here we are still alive and kicking.

For the love of God, please score early tonight. Kirby, keep us out of the big inning. Is it even possible for you to deliver three scoreless innings for us to start the game? DW, have Castillo and Woo ready to go early if necessary. Don't make stupid base-running mistakes. Play error free ball. Make them throw strikes. Get them on their heels. Finish them off. Win this series.

I’m exhausted too. I am treating it like I’m up a thousand bucks at the casino and I don’t need the money so I’m letting it ride. I wanna win but if I lose I don’t really lose anything and no matter how disappointing it is you still got a cool story about throwing a grand on the line and blowing it… mariners gotta put it all on black tonight and then the World Series baby!! Even if we lose we can look back and remember the Geno slam and making the Asstros go home for the season and Cals 60+ HRs he will end up with… what a ride!! We’re sitting on the front of the raft in the big rapids tonight!!!

Touchdown City is going to be playing the M's game too. Just a heads up for anyone who is coming out to the game tonight.

Tonight is their big chance to exorcise the demon of decades of misery for M's fans, myself included. I think they're going to win tonight, but I think it will go down to the wire. I don't care how, just win baby. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time, but I'm not going to get too high or too low. Easier that way.

And if they lose tonight, it's not because "They Choked" which a massive portion of the media, fanbase, etc. will claim they did.
It has been a hell of a battle between the two best teams in the AL.

Sure.

Seattle does need to address this lineup though. The bottom of the order might be okay during the regular season but they are almost all automatic outs with zero threat in the postseason.

No doubt. The lack of clutch hitting has popped up again. But they still have won 3 games in this series. No reason to think they can't tonight.

I do think the Blue Jays are the better team

But we are one good game away from beating them.

Depends..I'd take our pitching all day long as long as they don't shrink from the moment. Doesn't good pitching generally beat good hitting? We found that out in 95
