They do look good. I really thought they would have a drop off this year, but they just seem to keep reloading every year.

Being said, the out-of-country games aren’t always good metric of the two teams. Some teams just travel well.

Jax goes to London all the time, but you’d never know it

Not sure how much to take away from this game other than the Jags look completely lost. Hard to believe they beat the Chiefs 2 weeks ago.

Jags are beating themselves. Not surprising to see them revert to their mean. Rams look like the Rams.

Agree. Not a whole lot to take away from this.

My two takeaways: Lawrence is not elite; he has flashes of brilliance but isn't the savior at all. Rams D is very good.

They beat the Chiefs because I think the Chiefs were a bit sloppy and made too many mistakes.

I mean Mahomes throws a Pick-6 near the endzone? Yeah c'mon...how many times will THAT happen?

That was just an "any given sunday" moment.

These past two games against us and the Rams prove it.

How does a QB like Trevor get paid so much?
Maybe that's why the Jags have so many weak spots.

The Jags were in a bit of a pickle when it came to Lawrence's second contract. He was a number one pick who came into the NFL as the QB equivalent of baseball's "five tool" player. He was ranked up there in the ranks of Luck and Elway in terms of near can't miss talent. Yet when they extended him, he was still a mixed-bag of results. It was also hard to discern how much of this was on him, and how much of his lack of development was due to poor coaching and lack of supporting talent. At the time he was extended, my guess is that there were teams that would have been more than willing to bet on his emergence as some kind of a star at the position.

I do think, however, that his contract could have been more team friendly in its construction given that he was still a largely unproven commodity. Or they could have certainly played wait-and-see with him longer than they did, as they still had a few year's left on his rookie contract before they needed to.

I think they were just premature about extending him.

The Rams looked great today, but they've looked as if they were just adequate and they were just doing enough for much of the previous 6 games. That said after 7 games the only opponent that looked better than them was the Colts.
