Kirby couldn't locate a pitch in the third. You pull him then and don't put in the bad bullpen....Feel like coach wasn't as aggressive; then conceded the game. It's a strategy. Looking forward to a better next game. 5 runs in the 3rd. Game conceeded.

Seems like this was the best game to concede. Let Toronto blow their load on Kirby.

I might honestly start Garver in place of Canzone tomorrow. Canzone has looked horrible at the plate most of the post season. I know Garver ain't much, but Canzone has posed no threat whatsoever with the bat.
Canzone has been almost an automatic out with no threat of power at all. At least Garver can get lucky and drive a ball out or get a sac fly if needed.

I assume our Manager was trying to save the bullpen arms and did concede the game to focus on tomorrow, game 4.

Of course, I could be wrong.

Sometimes you just get smoked. Just like Toronto got smoked in game 2. This series was never going to be easy. Let's get that Dub tonight.
WORST case, just win one of these next two and be up 3-2 going out to Toronto. We absolutely OWN them out there.
The way Toronto can hit, I won't be surprised at all if that's exactly how it goes down. 3-2 heading out to Toronto. And I LOVE our chances to get that magic win #4.

Side note, after my extra grumpy evening, and maybe a couple old fashions in.........coming in gentle today. 200

Azvacar and I are cool. Just a couple grumpy dudes who got in a spat. Next up, we raise a couple pints and laugh at our grumpiness.

Jays own the Mariners in their own house. :) Stay Tuned. There's more :)
Mariners own the Jays in their house. Sweep of a series win in fact. Watch the trash talk dude. History isn’t on your side vs Seattle in the playoffs.

The two best teams in the AL are gonna' battle it out. Exactly as expected. I doubt that ANY of us HONESTLY thought the M's would go 2-0 out there. Especially coming off a 15-inning win. Unfortunately, we saw that offense do what they can last night. Side note: Vladdy seems like a prick.
And that jacket thing is incredibly stupid.

So for this casual bandwagon M's fan, what's the feeling for tonight? They got smoked yesterday and I understand that happens. What's the temp of the M's diehards here? Rebound? More of the same? I am with Soulfish on this one...I think the M's get 1 and it goes back to Toronto leading 3-2.

Although I would LOVE for the M's to handle their business tonight and win it tomorrow as we are hosting a Halloween party and M's diehards will be there so the game will be on. Would be amazing to see them clinch the World Series invitation at the party!

This team is VERY good after losses. The have a bounce back ability unlike most M's teams over the years. I think we split the next 2 and go back to Toronto (our house now) with a chance to just win ONE of two and head to the WS. One loss hasn't changed my outlook one bit. We smoked them in game 2, they did the same yesterday. New day, new game. I really like our chances tonight. Esp. with the rock on the mound with an extra day of rest. Obviously, it caused an argument, and I handled it like a grumpy old man. But I just was of the opinion that they should have had Luis pitch last night. He's a better pitcher than Kirby right now and would have still been on full rest.

Castillo on the mound tonight. He’s probably one of my favorite pitchers in the game. When he’s on, he’s lights out and his home era is legit good. I feel good about the pitching tonight. I just hope we can put up enough runs to keep him well supported.

Tomorrow is Woo. The M’s Ace that hasn’t pitched in the playoffs yet due to some chest tightness that’s now passed. He’s got insanely good stuff and if it’s 3-1 there’s most definitely a chance the series never sees Toronto again. He’s that good.

It's the mariners, I'm nervous as hell. Making it for the first time is always the hardest. At least in the future you have comparisons to look back on like the seahawks do with their super bowl appearances
