I like their Thunder and Lightning duality, but I don't know why for the life of me it is that Kubiak keeps calling plays that have K9 running Thunder plays up the gut while Charbs is sent to the Perimeter (Lightning).

Makes zero sense.

1000000% its weird.. they need to fix that because whatever they had going game one and two worked great.. since theyve reversed it.. no bueno

The "run game" section of the playbook needs to be more creative. How many times have we seen that toss sweep to the left? It's predictable and easy to defend.

Because he's a dipsh*t play caller. Same reason he runs on every 2nd and 10 and puts us in 3rd and longs.

Obviously overreacting, but I am not a fan of his play calling right now.

Maybe we should forget about being a run first team and realize what we might be is a passing beast?.... I'm just saying 🤷

Feed K9 and watch him break a big one. He needs 20+ carries and Charbs needs to be the 3rd down, change of pace back.

It feels like Walker is one the verge of busting a long one each game, but never quite gets enough opportunities to rush the ball and hit the big score.

They sent Charbs three times in a row up the middle in the first qtr and had to settle for a FG. that play calling was a head scratcher.

Then finished with Charbs running out the clock right up the middle.

Walker gets the ball between the twenties where the field is more open. I think they are tipping plays way too much

There were no dang holes.

No way we're abandoning the run.
You're right, I love watching running the ball on obvious running downs and seeing our RB's getting hit 3yards behind the line..

Not arguing your feelings, I feel it too. It's frustrating, but we have to keep trying until they get it right. Even when the running game is not working, it can still affect the D in play action.

The passing game is working, in part, because teams are committing to stop the run. And, play action is useless if you're not consistently running. The O-line is still struggling with run blocking, and we're missing our FB. (which confuses me - is Brady Russell that bad that we aren't still using those formations even with Outz out?)

And it’s not like our run game is not a threat. It’s the timing of things which is play calling, I swear it looks like we are still inventing who we are when it’s obvious who we are…

Spending two second round picks on backs you’d think they’d gain at least a 1000 yard back with one of them. Yeah, I know Walker is a 1k yard back in his rookie year but my lord if you’re gonna invest that capital in a back you better be sure they are going to be game changers. Not like once every 4 weeks but every game you need to see something. Neither really gives me a lot of confidence on any given Sunday. Hopefully it gets better this year but I don’t really know or think so.

Well, the hawks are a top 5 scoring team. Dont forget we have been playing some teams that are great against the run, and teams are stacking up to stop it. You just cant go away from it.
I'll say other than the first game against the Niners I have been more than happy with our O. Kubiak is exceeding my expectations, and I'm stoked. Think about how long it takes our offence to click on any given season for the last 20 years.

K9 is on pace to break the 1000 yards mark again this year but he’s only averaging 13 carries per game. Give him more carries and he’ll be even better.
