Yes, I have.

Blacking out in a fugue state is a fairly common side effect on a normal dose ofambien. Id go to the kitchen and eat random leftovers, go back to bed and wake up with no memory of this.
Point being.

Aggressive behavior and or Rage is not a typical reaction/ side effect of that type of medication.
In fact the exact opposite would be more likely

I take Ambien. In no way, shape or form..does it make me aggressive. The only thing I’ve ever attacked while on it is the pantry. I’ll F*&$ up a box of Fruity Pebbles while on it.

if he took it while he was out and about, he’s a dumbass.

Hope that’s not an argument…if it is, he’s screwed.

When Sanchez claimed he remembered nothing, ambien was the first drug I thought of in combination with alcohol.

When Sanchez claimed that he remembered nothing, my first thought was of my college roommate getting drunk, pissing on the band stage because there was a line at the bathroom, busting up a bunch of equipment when the bouncer went to throw him out, then saying the first thing he remembered about the incident was the next morning when his dad was shaking him in bed yelling "What the f.. are the cops doing calling here for you!" That was damn near 50 years ago.

Loss of memory is certainly a possible side effect of ambien. (Not all that uncommon)
Most people that report loss of memory will stop taking because most Docs would stop prescribing.

I’m saying that benzos and ambien are not prone to making people rage or act aggressively as he did.

Paradoxical reactions do occasionally occur but it’s pretty rare.

Paradoxical reactions are when the opposite of expected happens.
This would have to be the case if MS acted as he did because of Benzos/Ambien.
The addition of alcohol could certainly increase the risk, but it would still be considered a rare occurrence.

Bottom line is
Possible but very unlikely.

ETA
all of this information is readily available and easily found.
I’m speaking from an educated perspective, not pulling crap from thin air.

From your experience over the years, you’ve probably encountered a number of agitated drunk transports. What if additional substance if any might you see as a contributing factor?

I’m certainly not going to suggest MS was doing anything illegal drug wise, because frankly I have no idea. I also have no clue what prescription meds he may have taken.

If I was forced to guess, or went off my personal experience, Id say stimulants typically can contribute to that type of behavior.

Cocaine and Meth being the most common.
PCP although not necessarily a stimulant can cause all kinds of “crazy” reactions, but it’s not very common these days.

It’s very common for people that use the “legal weed” fake synthetic smokable to act crazy.
Run down the road naked and swatting at bees crazy.

Hell even the Steroids that folks use to build muscle can incite rage type reactions (depending on dose, person etc)

There just isn’t a clear answer to speculate on.

At the end of the day, it’s simply not going to be meds or street drugs that would be considered “downers”
ie opiates, benzodiazepines etc (typically speaking).

Exceptions to every rule however

"Thanks his surgeon for saving his life"?

He's fortunate the victim didn't have a gun and shot him in the head (though i doubt the bullet will hit anything with how "roomy" it is up in there).

Correct he is lucky not to get a bullet, people have been shot on the bypass
here for being an ass with vehicle but not actually making any contact, my
point being there is a lot of people carrying here.
