Dude, Mike already calls the defensive plays.
Appreciate your optimism. It’s still early in the Macdonald era. I think we’ve all seen the progress… yesterday was one unfortunate step back under hardship. We need to crush one more draft class in 2026 and land some absolute studs especially at Corner and Linebacker and build depth. If we can do that I think we enter the Super Bowl bubble next year.
Why?... I mean until we got decimated by injuries we were considered one of the better defenses in the league...Is it time MM takes the defensive play calling over from Durde?
Guys seem out of position with WRs running free, missed tackles, no pass rush (ocassional blitz), giving up too many yards after contact by RB and receivers. Injuries happen, at this level the next guy should be able to play. This is just my opinion. I'm sure many disagree.Why?... What's the fix then?...Guys seem out of position with WRs running free, missed tackles, no pass rush (ocassional blitz), giving up too many yards after contact by RB and receivers. Injuries happen, at this level the next guy should be able to play. This is just my opinion. I'm sure many disagree.
A couple weeks ago the announcers said Durde was calling the defense and that MM trusted him to do that. Right after I posted this multiple said I was wrong about that and MM is calling the D. Either way they aren't doing their jobs.
Yep, you're right. Anytime a starter is out we should not expect anything. Second stringers aren't capable of producing, they are simply there to fill out the roster. What's the fix then?...
I mean we lost pro bowl talents Love, Witherspoon, Lawrence for sure, and even Woolen could be on this list... So what is Durde or even Mike's supposed to do with players that are practice squad guys filling these rolls?... You can't make chicken salad with chicken![]()
