-- I don't see the value in pushing Spoon outside. Keeping him closer to the LOS allows them to be more creative with him. Kendrick is playing great as a rotational bench corner, let's not ask him to do more than he might be capable of.

-- I realize the pitch forks are out for Woolen, but let's not risk a negative domino effect to get him off the field. And as mentioned before, of course Kendrick has the right to compete. By earning a roster spot you have the right to compete.

Agreed with Spoon not going outside as much. He’s so dynamic when he’s close to the ball.

Fingers crossed Kendrick keeps it up!

JHMO and perhaps it's none of my business, but I think we should cut @glenwo2 a little slack. Sure, it wasn't the most appropriately titled thread, but there's a lot of threads in this forum that creates a "WTF" with their title. Here's just a sample from the very same Seahawks forum:

Why us?

Well...this should cause some "reaction"

How the heck does anyone know what the general content of the thread is with those kinds of titles? Do those titles not fall into the category of click bait?

At least we knew from the title of this thread that the subject was the possible benching of Woolen. I can't say anything remotely similar about the other two thread titles.

Anyway, I know it's none of my business, but I couldn't help it. I had to come to the defense of a fellow Hawk fan.
Hahaha @glenwo2 is the op on the “reaction” thread too (I like that thread GeNOOOOO!!)

The title should make you wanna click, it’s the content of the thread and the expectations we get from the title though.

@glenwo2 post a lot of news ish stuff and there ain’t always something to talk about
I get being mindful but I think Glenwo always has good intentions

So is Tariq benched or not?

Or since he changed his name he gets another shot….

Maybe changing his name is a signal that something clicked and he is recognizing he has to change. You can’t ride the laurels for ever

I think announcing his “benching” creates a spectacle. No locker room needs that. Plus we still need him. It is hard to not have your tallest fastest guy out there, he should be able to shut down one side, and he kinda has before. I don’t know… I’d rather see him just start being good….

Wonder how Spoon being out affects this "benching" now? Week three featured Jobe, new DK, and Woolen so I'd expect something similar unless they are going to roll with Pritchett?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when a player gets benched, it often times results in his replacement starting get work in practice with the first team offense/defense, so it can be a little hard to keep a secret or avoid embarrassing a player.

Woolen has been benched twice in his career for performance issues, once by Pete for sloppy tackling and once by Mac for a lack of effort, or at least that's what the perceived reasoning was. His play this season certainly deserves a benching, and I don't know why Mac has been so hesitant this season when he benched him last year. It's pretty obvious to even the naivest fan that he's the weak link in our secondary. He clearly has options.

He is being cut “slack”.

Hence my multiple comments trying to get him up to speed on how things work round these parts

I haven’t seen anyone being exceptionally hard on the beaver.

If I’ve missed something by all means point it out.

Yeah that’s how I go about it with 12 yr olds. In practice it’s like, Joey your out, Bobby get in there, then Joey comes to the sideline pouting and then his mom comes and says why isn’t Joey out there!!!? Did he lose his job and I gotta be like no no no we’re just trying stuff to raise the competition….

Yeah, that's why I never got involved in youth sports, ie having to deal with the parents. The closest I got was agreeing to umpire Little League baseball games, but even then, I had to run the parents away from standing behind the backstop as they were arguing with me on just about every pitch.

But back to the topic. These young men are professional athletes, and if they can't take the disappointment of getting benched, then they're going to have one helluva problem dealing with everything else life's going to throw at them in the coming years.
