You're making a random observation referring to the posts of someone you're actively disagreeing with. Seems like a pointed observation that assigns a negative connotation to post length, regardless of content.

And by "used to," I mean used to. It isn't a secret that this forum used to have significantly more examples of long-form posts with hours of analysis and thought going into them.

I, personally, still enjoy reading full posts of decent length so long as they aren't utter nonsense - even if I find the conclusions disagreeable. I'll attack an argument any day - but a crack about post length implying that its a bad thing? Can't get behind that.

Hell, I love the player and loved his game as a Seahawk and I can't defend his play right now. I don't see anyone objective doing so in relation to his current stretch with the Raiders.

Starting to hate him just because he still dominates discussion here, even with so-called fanboys having long mostly dipped out of the whole stupid Geno war.

I want to celebrate Sam Darnold's play so far, but I'd hate to praise him too hard and get drive-by posts made about me calling me a "Sam Sucker" or "Dar-knob Polisher" in a couple years if he falls out of favor too, or be accused of being in love with "Sam Darn-OLD!" if people get restless if he doesn't win a Super Bowl within 2 years.

For my part, I'm not much of a fan of very long posts.

I don't know....but I just find myself starting to read something lengthy and try to follow it through but after a bit, I get impatient and just skim to the end and move on. You know? It's a "me" thing, I guess.

In terms of this forum, I guess I prefer someone getting to the point instead of taking me on a verbal journey, if that makes any sense.

When it comes to this off-season am I the only one who sees parallels to between the 2021 and 2022 seasons?

-Seahawks move on from starting QB. Looks mutual with both sides wanting to move on
-Consenus is the team has downgraded going into the next season
-Lots of NFL analysts in that off-season bringing out stats etc to say that the problems the year before were not the QBs fault - it was the fault of the o-line and coaching. Predicting that QB would thrive in his new environment.

It's early, but so far it's playing out the same way.

Only difference this time around is the Hawks changed OC's and the offensive philosophy to fit Darnold where Smith was put into same situation Wilson was in.


BTW if Pete is unhappy with Geno and the turnovers, is he going to put the shackles on Geno the way he did to Russ after those turnover games vs the Bills and Rams in 2020?

I'll give Keasely some credit even if I think its obvious he was wrong in his evaluation of Geno last year. At least he continues to contribute, post and is obviously a fan of the Seahawks. I appreciate that.

But yeah, why in the world would I stop posting? I have been a Hawks fan since 1982. I will always be a Hawks fan. And even if I didn't like Darnold (not the case) if I could root for John Friesz and Dan McGuire as if they were our own Joe Montana, I can pull for Sam.

It's not the side that was defending Geno that is so anxious to hold find reason to hold one guy down while elevating another. Its the fair weather fans that come and go with a player or get all pissy when they don't like a certain guy.
