okay I have a couple of questions for you :

1.) Geno wanted OUT. Now who did you want the Seahawks to go after if not Darnold?

Rodgers? He'd be okay but he's not the long-term answer. Plus, he's a doosh so f*ck him.

You want Kirk Cousins instead? 😁

2.) You don't like Gray Zabel on this team? 'Cause that was the only way they were improving the OL (and the early returns show it was the RIGHT decision to make).

Besides, from where the Hawks were drafting, there wouldn't have been any QB-Rookie (that the Seahawks would want) on a long cheap contract based on whomever was available to draft.

Anyway, it's never "Super Bowl Now"....UNTIL IT HAPPENS.

Let's see what goes down this season.

First step is trying to win the division.

Next step is the playoffs and we go from there.
Come on Glen, this is Seahawks you suck if you don't draft who I want.......dot net.

Darnold will improve as the conditions surrounding him improve. That is the case with any QB. I like Darnold just fine. For now. But I think the guy tuning up in the wings just might have what it takes to take us where we want to go.

I assume you mean Milroe but as is the case with all things that we hope for :

The way Darnold is playing, I'm good not seeing Milroe for a while. I still wish they would use him for certain packages. His legs are a legit threat.

He would make a great running back.

The only way we see Milroe eventually is based on several things by the end of this season...

1.) Did Sam help lead us to a Division title?

or

2.) Failing that, did Sam at least help the Hawks win a playoff game?

or

3.) Failing THAT, did Sam at least play well enough to win a playoff game but was victimized by poor Defense or other unforeseen circumstances (ie bad playcalling, etc)?

If all 3 are at a negative, then I can see Milroe-Time on the horizon.

Otherwise, I see Darnold sticking around as the Hawks Starting QB for awhile.

I'll give Keasely some credit even if I think its obvious he was wrong in his evaluation of Geno last year. At least he continues to contribute, post and is obviously a fan of the Seahawks. I appreciate that.

Your not wrong but Glenwo doesn't try to claim other than being a fan boy while Keasley does a lot of gaslighting around here.
If he loves Geno that's his right but he tries to claim neutrality when he is anything but when it comes to Geno.
Gaslighting? Bro, what are you talking about?

What's happening is projection. Projecting ones own fandom on someone else when they defend some certain aspect of a player's performance and claiming it's because they have a hard-on for them. What I have said is no different than what guys like Daniel Jeremiah have said with regard to Geno, citing the exact same evidence.

But like I said, it's just a sign of the times. Just don't stick me in some elementary binary situation where the choices are great / hate. That may be an oversimplification but not by much.

Defending what a player does because there is good reason to defend it, isn't accepting everything they do. And tell me one time when I have claimed something without backing it up with evidence.

Problem is evidence isn't wanted or welcomed when the debate starts and stops with preference.

And as I have said. I was a hater of Shawn Alexander. I was a hater of Russel Wilson. And now I apparently don't like Sam Darnold.

I questioned the wisdom of the move to get Darnold the same way virtually everyone else in the NFL world did. And with good reason. Hopefully it all works out for the best because if it does, it means we are winning championships. But you won't find me ignoring context in discussing Darnold the way the GeNos chose to in assessing Smith's performance.

Bro , the evaluation of Geno last year wasnt wrong. It was the same evaluation than most every pundit made at the end of the year and especially when we got Darnold - that the problem was NOT Geno and was Grubb, the O line and for the majority of Geno's tenure here, a defense that was ranked near last. To say that's not the case is to basically say Darnold would have had us in the playoffs last year in the same situation. Really?

I don't know why it's so bizarre to believe one could defend the last QB here and can also be happy that we have a different QB who is playing well WITH one of the best Defenses in the league, with a better than respectable O line and an OC who at least seems to know how to srmtring together a series of plays.

If you or anyone else can't understand that, that's not on me. If I have to link videos to reviews of games last year by respected analysts who said the same things I and others did about Geno and the offense last year I would be happy to.

Football is a team sport. Very few players have the talent to succeed without solid play around them. Geno showed that. And I would wager if you put Sam in those same conditions last year he wouldn't have either.

I got bashed for wanting Geno gone. I wanted a change in the offense. The Sam idea came later and the Sea of Change that followed was nothing short of miraculous. The cap became no longer being capsized with also some smart contracts in addition.
Media didn't get it but it was somewhat of a surprise looking at the whole picture. Not only that but the draft on paper looked great.

Examining these things and being correct is fun. I think we will play better this season.

i tried to give you a compliment.

Yes if we had Sam last year we would've been better. I and many others are entitled to that opinion just as you are of thinking Geno was elite. Our line has had struggles this year too and guess what? Sam has made plays in those situations. Geno this weekend had 3 picks and none of them were on the line. Also Darnold appears to be better in the red zone.

If it was of no fault of Geno's why is he worse this year? He has Pete Carroll an innovative OC etc. It's always someone else's fault when it comes to Geno.

We're not all stupid and you're opinion is objective fact. Like I said earlier in the thread NFL execs ranked him in the 20's last year. Are they all wrong too and you're right? Are your twitter evaluators with 1,200 followers smarter than the guys who run the league?

Anyway we can all agree to disagree. You think Geno is much better than many of us do. Maybe you're right, maybe you're wrong but I don't think it matters at this point.

What exactly is the problem with posts that actually have effort put into them?

We used to aspire to that.
Nothing is the problem. I'm just making an observation.

Also, what do you mean by "used to"?

I see other people's posts here and I'd like to think they put effort into them as well. 🤷‍♂️

Man, I do get what the person was going for but I got to say that the Rothlesberger part and the Immune system part is a bit tasteless. Ngl.
