Dude is clutch. And listening to him talk he's humble, level headed and got a great head on his shoulder.

Sam is THE GUY. Im fully sold on him. And I was a huge Geno stan. But Darnold is IT.

He's only 28. Hyped for this guy as my QB

He had a stretch in the 3rd quarter where he was hanging on to the ball too long and the offense sputtered. We also stopped running in the 3rd (again), so play action was meaningless in the second half.

But still, he only took one sack and didn’t turn it over. That bounce pass to walker to avoid the sack and grounding was an A+ move. I’ll take it

Not going to lie…was super skeptical.

Primary reason…I never thought McCarthy was all that. But, I’m also a Buckeye fan so…it made me wonder if I was just being biased. Perhaps Vikings FO knew he was better than Sam?

With that said…I still couldn’t, for the life of me, get past Minnesota wanting to go with a guy with zero NFL snaps (and coming off of injury) instead of Darnold?!? Were the Vikings ‘weapons’ so good that it didn’t matter who played QB or did they ‘cover’ Darnold’s weaknesses until he got exposed those last two games?!?

THAT question still puzzles me…especially with what Darnold is doing for us.

I don’t think I’ll ever understand the reasoning…just glad to see that he is actually the real deal.

I’m also hopeful for Milroe. Not derailing the topic here….being able to develop a guy behind a solid QB is a blessing. Even if that means he has to wait it out for a contract or two.

Darnold is cheaper, younger and better than Geno. He is clearly in love with 11 - which teams are by now game planning for - opening up the whole rest of the offense, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. He has great athletic moves. It is great watching him and K grow every game with this new system - I hope to watch that for a few more seasons.

Certainly could have done worse.

I don’t believe he will lose us many games.

So far, so good.
I have no complaints.

Think if our oline continues to develop and provide him with a reasonable amount of time he will flourish.
It's beginning to seem like Darnold will be way down on the list of reasons this team loses games but way UP on the list of reasons this team wins games.

I think (I daresay) that Mr. Schneider may have struck gold here in acquiring Sam.

When McCarthy played, he had only 1 quarter where he even resembled an NFL QB. The other quarters he stunk AND he got hurt again.

So not only is JJ McHandoff not good but he seems to be JJ McInjuryProne as well.

Vikings are going to regret (hell they ARE regretting) letting Darnold leave and we are reaping the benefits of their stupidity right now.

After first game, thought Minnesota was a fluke but I'm glad I was wrong. Hes not doing anything fancy other than controlling the game by moving the chains when needed. This is exactly the kind of QB this team needed.
