Great job by Castillo and the BP today.

Getting that series win on the road is huge for this team. Let's go get another in Houston.

Playoff atmosphere. Low scoring, pitchers duel, whatever you want to call it.

Won a road game and series they needed to win to hold their place in the AL West. Is this a new M's team? I hope so.

Calling the challenge of the 2B being off the dirt was genius. Maybe Dan does know something about the game. :) Like the announcers were saying, that might have been something a long time coming, based on film study over an entire season. You never know what something like that will do to a team psychologically. Were they a little rattled? Maybe.

Another tough, critical series coming up in Houston.

Tip of the cap to both starters. Out fricken standing. 3 quality starts in a row for the Rock. We need him. They are really in a great spot now.
F, this is a blast.

Good point on the playoff atmosphere. Low scoring games are def. common. Last M's playoff game I went to was Randy Johnson vs. Roger Clemens. We lost 1-0. Phenomenal game, pitching and atmosphere. Win 2 of 3 in Houston and we are VERY much in the drivers seat, imo.

I'm proud to say how wrong I was with my claim they were toast a few weeks back. Looked like it..........but nope. I can't even put into words how much I want this team in the playoffs. Every damn game, every pitch, butterflies. Just get in the dance and let's see what happens. IF we host a playoff series at home? HUGE shot of advancing.

IDK, that late in the game might as well. Don't want to give away free bases in the 9th.

Ok, I got a text from my friend that's very interesting. Not sure if it's 100 percent accurate, but IF the M's get the #2 seed, they will host Game 1 on Sunday, October 5th. Hawks host TB that same day. Now THAT would be one hell of a double header. I suspect M's game would be at 6pm since it's on a Sunday.

Don't kill the messenger, just passing on a text I got from someone who usually is on top of these things.

EDIT: Another friend sent a message that shows Game 1 on Saturday, Game 2 on Sunday. Either way, no matter what, a Sunday Hawks/M's double would still happen.

Munoz I"m pretty sure would rather pitch to Fraizer.. but you do have a point.

Wow, just heard one hell of a stat on today's game. NOT A SINGLE WALK by M's pitchers today.

Brash has been $ for most of the season. One off night doesn't change my mind about him. Now........Geno? Huge weakness. He needs to make some damn contact. 4 for 4 yesterday didn't change my mind about him.

Agreed. Brash is a stud. NASTY stuff and I want him to close, with Munoz as the setup man.

Geno had a good game yesterday. Was that his first multi-hit game since coming back to Seattle? Feels like it.

Alright, this is it gentlemen. On to the 3 game series in Houston that very much feels like the winner of the series takes the division. And the series we all circled at the beginning of the season, knowing that the baseball gods would allow this season to come down to the wire, again. I love it.

It's probably something infielders do all the time and just nobody watches for it.

They were talking to the review guy and he stated they watch for this.. that the player (Fraizer?) was getting closer and closer so they kept an eye on him.
