Packers Looking For Real

Smacked the hell out of the Lions last week, now smacking the crap out of the Commanders, though it's still early in the game. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they end up NFC champions this year. It' hard to find a real weakness with them. Got to give them credit for the Parson's trade. They didn't mess around. They knew their team was on the verge...go for it.

F yes they are looking hot.

Might be watching the SB winners tonight. They are definitely for real.

Really good game too.

Washington is not a bad team, I was looking forward to watching them.

Packers are a bit above the rest of the NFC. For the moment anyway.

I'm a little iffy on the Lions for the moment with the loss of almost their entire coaching staff. It really showed against the Packers. If I had to name the NFC elite now, it would be...

--Eagles (they're the champs)
--Packers (looking real good all over, and youngest team in the NFL)
--Rams (I like them out of the NFC West, like their HC and Stafford if he can stay healthy)
--Bucs (I think they're overlooked and underrated)

I cannot disagree with your assessment. I will say the Rams have to earn it this season to be there though. Good start last week, but some big IFs remain.

Lions I do not think are up there this season for exactly your reasoning. (and on that same reasoning - look for Jags to be a bit better than expected this year, they poached some admin/coaching from the Rams).

Washington is better than they look tonight.

Honestly, they would still be in the game if they had a good kicker.

They looked good against a NFC playoff team for the 2nd straight week, so they have to be considered as one of the early favorites in the NFC. Micha Parsons, although he didn't record a sack (actually .5 sacks), was a big factor in the Pack's defense.

Commanders were playing too conservative on their 4th downs and for some reason decided not to play in 2 minute drills until late in the 4th. If they had done so sooner, they might've actually worn down the Packers D. There was no fire until late 4th quarter and by then it was too late.

I'm not that high on the Commanders. A lot of magic last year with one-score games. Plus they're the oldest team in the league. Their age will show as the season goes on. And I don't think they fixed their O-line problems. I like Jayden Daniels, but he can't do it himself.

Packers, on the other hand, are going to be good for some time.

I think there are a number of teams running on the hype fumes of last season, KC and Philly for examples. Packers appear to be ascending and for the long haul. That they are doing so with so much youth is worrisome.

I have always liked Jayden Daniels but worried he will get crunched. I am back to liking Jalon Daniels (Ks) too. He seems to have whipped the injuries that plagued him and is back to playing his game, which is very good. He will be in the draft this year and will likely be overlooked early. Kid is a talent.
