I know people are surprised about the RB/FB list but I am thrilled about it. We are finally going to be a bruising running team with a strong passing game again. It’s been too long since we’ve had this type of offense and I’m pumped

Right now, the only workaround I see is playing Murphy to NT, which I believe MM said he didn't want to do.

Haven't I read somewhere that Mac's defense doesn't need/use a nose tackle much? Seems like if he thought it was a priority they would have worked harder to get one.

If you think about it we have 6 TE/FB types on the team, and 4 RBs. Can't wait for the 24 formation. 2RB/4TE no WR.

I've seen some buzz about the Cowboys being fed up with NT Mazi Smith even though he made the 53... Cowboys took him in the 1st round 3 years ago.
Dan Quinn decided he needed to lose weight and become a penetrating DT, it didn't work... That's not his game, at 330lbs. he was a run stuffing nose tackle for Michigan when coach Macdonald was there... He's only 24... He may be the guy they are wanting to get.

Maybe so, and perhaps whoever they have in mind is better than Pili, but that's a tough one to take a flyer on. We're pretty light on the D-line right now, and overloaded at TE. Very surprised at this cut. We'll see how it all shakes out this week.
