Not sure what's up with Maul lately. Damn. Lighten up dude.
I’m all for football discussions and debates. Outside of me being locked out of my account for the better part of the past year, I was fine with taking a break from this page simply due to the clique group think that the majority of posters partake in. I don’t do group think. I share my opinions, and sometimes I end up being correct. Most times I’m not. I like to discuss and partake in friendly debate.

I welcome discussion. My opinion on Milroe is just that. An opinion. If someone thinks Milroe is the QBOTF, that’s their right to think that. I hope they’re right. What I don’t appreciate is the condescending comments and bullish behaving from some select members of this board. If someone has a different opinion, which is welcome on a forum, then discuss that. You don’t have to put the other person down and make them feel stupid about it.

Let’s say for instance, 3 years from now Milroe proves not to be worthy of the teams starting QB. I’m not going to quote other folks from this exact thread supporting him in order to admonish their stance. Of course not, because they had their opinion, I had mine, we agreed to disagree, and we moved on.

Go Seahawks

Even bigger considering Arroyo is a TE/WR hybrid. Smart to go younger, less pressure positionally for the 26" draft

I mean, predicting a late third round project QB isn't the starter in three years isn't exactly going out on a limb.
I think most people realize it's a long shot but can we give him more than preseason to figure it out?

Very good point.

The team is keeping Milroe, so my posts from yesterday are a moot point. Allow me to summarize and expand on my illegitimate position though:

This team has a lot bigger needs than a third string project QB. We knew from the get-go that he was being brought in to essentially be Kubiak’s new Taysom Hill. I’m not sure if Milroe can catch the rock, but it sounds like they’ve installed some gadget packages for him. I’m sure it’ll be cute and fun for the first couple of weeks, but I’m not a big fan of these gadget only players.

We’re trying to get Sam Darnold acclimated as well. I don’t want snaps taken away from Darnold, potentially hurting his rhythm and flow in the game, just for Milroe to go out there and pick up minimal yardage on a wildcat play. That would be very stupid imo, but that’s what they’re electing to do it sounds like.

This team lacks corner depth significantly. As well as linebacker depth. I’m stunned that they let go of Patrick O'Connell considering how thin they are at that position as well. There are more pressing areas of concern and depth than having a gadget/project third QB.

My other slights with Milroe I’ve already discussed, but that’s why I posted yesterday that if this team feels like they’re on the verge, a fringe playoff team to some, potentially a division winner to others, you can’t waste one of your 53 spots on a player who is nowhere near being ready to contribute reliably from the jump.

The difference is that the team sees him as a gadget/Taysom Hill type AND a potential QBOF

You do not

So while in your eyes, keeping a gadget guy is a waste, its not a waste if you see him as a future starter as well

QBs. Are hard to come by. Milroe showed the team’s coaches and scouting teams enough to think they can develop him, and it is worth the draft pick and effort to do so. Will it work out, who knows? News flash 80% of the draft picks don’t work out. But it will be an interesting process
