It absolutely happened, pretty much right down below where I sit. F that guy.
So shocking that Geno would get worked up and "disrespected"

Of course, that fan in kind of a dick too. But in this instance, tip of the cap.
But the players are held to a higher standard...and should act accordingly

That has always been one of Geno's shortcomings. Remember the "small penis" incident?

2 schools of thought for me.
#1 You can be a professional and just ignore that kind of stuff. (which in my book didn't even seem to bad.)
#2 You can go out and kick some butt to prove yourself. Jury is out on this one since its the first pre-season game. But I have mountains of doubt Geno can do that, which means "see #1"

It was the "Who is the biggest bust Jamarcus Russell or Geno Smith"? sign that did him in. My seats are four rows above the visitor tunnel and that guy who brings those signs every home game is ruthless.
He was obviously just messing with him and it worked. Geno has been legit NFL starter and Jamarcus was always crap. He does need thicker skin, but no longer our problem!

A whole lot of assumptions

It doesn't look like anyone was being serious - except fans that are super sensitive to banter or want to reinforce feelings

If Darnold gets a similar sign in his face in a tunnel, I hope he flips the douche off too.

Nah. One childish QB is enough. But as always, somehow Geno gets a pass. Sign guy and Geno both showed their Dewshness.

It's a middle finger, dude. We're adults. We're Seahawks fans. The most ridiculous, amazing period in our teams history was the result of an insanely belligerent attitude the league hadn't yet seen and has not seen since.

I want my guys giving the finger too. When the hell did this fetish for choir boys start? I want Darnold giving the finger to signs saying he sees ghosts in Minnesota if they're waved in his face in the tunnel, and if anyone on this forum can honestly say they'd get all pissy over it, I mean... come on. That's just sad.

Unless, of course, this is just hating on a guy from another team for that reason rather than actual outrage over the action itself, in which case, carry on. Doesn't read like it though.
