With a top 3 defense that will change quickly especially after we beat the 49ers and pack Aaron Rodgers fudge. The defense finished top 10 last year but was top 5 in every category since adding Jones at LB…and they added Emanwori so I expect a fast, hard hitting defense to anchor a 12 win regular season and a deep playoff run. The Eagles are good but the NFC is littered with parody and wide open IMO.
I agree we should have a very good defence, my concern is they wont get enough time off the field and late in the game they will just be too tired to close out enough games to make the play-offs. The defence is why I am predicting 9 wins rather than 5 or 6.

Hmm strange because we got better on both sides of the ball focker. They led the entire league in 3 and outs last year so the defense getting off the field wasn’t the issue it was Geno Smith’s erratic play late in games and more notably in the red zone. The fumbles, interceptions and bone headed plays by Geno Smith kept the Hawks out of the playoffs. Darnold is a steadier hand in the pocket at any rate so I expect a smooth transition with zero drop off at all in terms of yardage. Darnold throws dots

We will have to wait and see. I think at WR we are much weaker, Kupp isn't the player he was and MVS is a downgrade on Locket. Fant was a solid TE I hope Arroyo will eventually be better than him but will take time to get used to the NFL.

I am not convinced Darnold is an improvement over Geno, we wont really find out until the season starts whether Darnolds performance last season was because he has improved since his time in Carolina and New York or whether it was specific to being with the Vikings. The other unknown is how Kubiak will perform compared to Grubb.

I believe getting rid of Geno, Fant, Metcalf and Locket were due to salary cap restrictions rather than we could getter better replacements.

There are a lot of unknowns if everything clicks into place, Darnold plays like weeks 1-17 last year, Arroyo adapts quickly, Kupp is able to hold back father time and / or Bobo or one of the rookies steps up to be a decent WR3 (or 2) along with RG and C not dong too badly and Zabel being a stud we could be a top half.
Worst case JSN, Cross and Walker are the only guys performing at the level expected of a starter (and thats without considering injuries), that could land us rank 32 on offence.

Our defense has been built through the draft and with Macdonald at the helm you won’t see us outside of the top 5 after 6 weeks. Guaranteed
Now it’s top 5 with facing the cards, jags , saints . Come on Frodo , if they are going to be top 3 , say top 3

The fact that they won 10games with a really poor signal caller is a testament to how good the defense was in the second half of last year guy. Your squad is ass at least pretend to be sad. Your best running back plays elsewhere and Deebo is with the commanders who are already a power in this conference. Piss poor move by Lynch by only getting a fifth round pick for Deebo he was worth a third lol

It's top 3 now

By what metric ?

My god you guys talk about your defense like it is the second coming of the 85 bears. In the second half of the last season, they faced the cards twice, the jets and the bears.
This mofo back already? You had plenty of chances in the past 5 years to win your first sb since Danny tanner was on wake-up san fransisco, you screwed your pathetic cap for it, and wasted all of that time yapping about players no one in America likes, many of whom want to jump to better situations. This is not the place to mine for relevance, there is none left, shut up. See you week one, then will you go away?

Yes this. I get it the defense is going to be good (top 10 probably ) but to declare them top 3 is ambitious until you see it
It’s always a tight game when we play the Rams regardless of players

Training camp means very little (at least what we are allowed to see of it) Vegas has us at 8.5 for a reason, I am on the over but not by much, our offence could really struggle this season.
Our offense could really excel, too.

I would be surprised, I think the ceiling for our offence is middle of the pack.
On the plus side in 2013 our offence was 18th for total yards so if defence is LOB 2 we can go all the way even with that.

Such ratings are subjective. The 2013 Seahawks ranked #3 in 1st half opponents scoring and #1 in 2nd half opponents scoring. The 2013 Seahawks offense ranked #10 in 1st half scoring. The Seahawks offense was mostly playing with a lead. Rushing the football and chewing up time in the 2nd half made football sense. It just doesn't make for attractive offensive stats/rankings.

True but i am just saying nothing is truly set in stone until it happens. This brand new offense will remain a complete mystery until it actually takes the field during regular season games.
