Wait… spatchcock, my phone actually knows that word. Wtf

It's the way to go for smoking a whole bird, imo. Super easy with some good kitchen shears. Just cut the spine out and then break the breast bone by pushing down firmly on it like you're doing CPR. Cooks way more evenly because it's basically laying flat as opposed to being shaped like a football.

That pic is one of mine. That spot on the lower right is where juice squirts out from the probe thermometer. Gotta monitor that shit. Overcooked chicken just ain't no good

*Sorry for the thread hijack*

Just like how I play golf. There’s no pictures on the scorecard

I wish there was though cause I can crush a driver
Lol
Golf can be like baseball in results off the tee..

I don't want JP playing any golf ever.

Oh good, we squeaked out a win! 'Cause this would have been the miss-the-playoffs-by-one-game loss for the 2025 season. Guess we're making it this year, whoo-hoo!

You can laugh react emoji all you want. I'm just posting actual verifiable stats.

JP with RISP - .321.

Julio with RISP - 202.

One of those is as NON clutch as they come. The other is actually pretty damn clutch.

Enjoy your laugh.
That’s all he does…passive aggressiveness at its finest. So tired

Just like that, only 3.5 out for division. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

2 coughs for JP tonight. He's getting 2 hits. And for the record, Julio needs to do a lot more at the plate.

Maybe moving him down in the lineup is what he needed to get him out of his dreadful slump? RBI base hit on Thursday night, 2 RBI walk off game winning HR last night. Might be the start of heading in the right direction (I hope).

Leading off has a lot of pressure attached to it. We basically ruined Kelenic by having him lead off for what? 40 games or something and just watched him flounder. No way to treat a rookie.

JP is a vet, TBS, but it is still a big ask to lead off every day, and when you're struggling like he has been, decreasing the pressure by moving him to the back of the order for a while can help. Will he ever be moved back up? Time will tell, but when he was on for several months there he was a dynamic leadoff hitter, getting on base a lot and creating pressure on the opposing pitcher for the big bats behind him.

Regardless of struggles, with the new roster construction JP should be at the bottom. If you put him lead off you’re basically forced to hit Naylor or Geno 6th. Nothing against JP, but even when he’s hitting he doesn’t deserve to be at the top of the lineup.

If JP is the liability in the lineup, that shows just how good we are.
