Most of us have felt like they don't care, for years. Well, I'm happy to be wrong, they clearly DO care this year.
And at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if they add another starter or reliever today.

I love that we only gave up Locklear and the #16 and #17 pitching prospects in the organization. I feel this will make Naylor happy to have his buddy come with him from AZ.

When I saw we were officially getting Geno back I was worried it would cost higher end talent like Ford, Montes, Celestin or Emerson. They are trying. and we really have not sacrificed the future at all either. I had a feeling something was up with Locklear being called up when we just added Naylor, made no sense.

No they didn't. It's July 31. Still 2 full months of baseball to be played. 53 games. FAR from being out of the playoffs.

It seems that Geno will be complicated given his age and Mariner cheapness. But Naylor, if he likes it here, would seem doable. But what do I know.

We just need to get hot again, like that span against the Yanks and Tigers, start building momentum, stirring up a buzz for the team and its prospects with the fans. You can't underestimate how such things provides a team and its players with real focus, like everything they do really matters.

I do kind of wish we had a more experienced skipper at the helm for this dash to the finish. Decisions are going to matter if we're going to make a run at the division, which I think should be the goal now. But oh well.

Damn it. Somebody pour a bucket of cold water on my newly budding optimism.

TBH, I don't even care if they end up being rentals and not re-upped. It was the right thing to do. IMO they didn't even give up a lot overall for all the moves they made anyway.

Also, get JP out of the lineup. Williamson is a better defender, and lately....a better hitter.

Miller went to Padres but would still love Kwan.

We need to replace JP next year. It won't happen this year, but needs to happen.
