I don't even follow the team anymore. I've watched about an hour total of them this season and only because they were on the TV where I was. I'm not buying anything of theirs, including ROOT, merchandise or going to the games. I basically only post about this team to shit on them.

They are a loser franchise, and I actually enjoy when they lose. This is the best part of the season for me. Nothing will change until it gets so bad that nobody cares and nobody goes to the games. So for that to happen, I hope they lose as much as they can. Call me a hater, I don't care, I'd rather be that then someone that supports bad business.

Go Guardians this weekend.
Ironically, you are a true fan who doesn't put up with the loser mentality bs

I don't know you or you me, but I am always fascinated by people and how they become what they say they are. A team that has made 1 playoff, and that was after the league extended the number of teams making it, in 24 seasons say they are a realist? Not knocking or questioning you. Rather trying to see what makes them a real playoff team in your mind with so much saying they aren't? After 47-48-49 or wherever we are at now seasons, I would love to be a believer. Serioulsy.
Ha! He ain’t saying they’re a playoff team, he is saying he is not depressed or sad or mad that the mariners are terrible because he has a realistic outlook on what they are, incomplete. Me, on the other hand, I am a flowery, Rosie, dreaming optimist. I still think rowdy tellez is gonna hit a homerun in the World Series this year

As a non baseball fan and only a bandwagon M's fan (once they make it to the playoffs which as we all know isn't all that often), all I can say in complete honesty and no jest that they seem like a team that gets their fans hyped earlier in the season, sometimes to the point they think "This could be our year!" only to almost always, inevitably, tank down the final stretch either coming close but just missing the post season or not even close at all.

To an outsider looking in, is that about right?
Yep. Every year they start off a little slow then the explode for two or three weeks then they go cold for a month or two then they scramble back to try to fight for a play-off spot, which they reached in less the 5% of the last two and a half decades…

Why do I believe in the team every year🤔

Who is putting up with it? All of us are pissed off.
You aren't. You PRETEND to be upset when they lose. And in losing, that means every year, because every year they fail to win anything. No WS, No division, No Wild Card. Nothing. Just regular season games for you to toss your pom poms around to. Now you're pretending to be fed up with losing. They go out & finally win a measley 3 game regular season series & you're thumping your chest again cheerleading for the ownership.
