Call up players. Make trades. If you have to trade Hancock and Miller for a bat. Fugging do it. If they miss the playoffs Jerry and Justin have to go. I don't care to see Polanco Solano or even Randy and Tellez again.
It's s going to take awhile for the farm to get up here and if they don't have bats now they aren't making the playoffs for a few more years. I saw this coming during the off-season after 2022. The plan was to give Julio gazillion dollars and wait for the farm to build up while they bring in scrub players. We are in the midst of that.

Houston has had an offense for over a decade. Build a fugging offense first you clowns.

Said the same thing myself. He was slightly above average when we got him, and he dropped a bit since. What makes it more painful is we bat him cleanup. Lordy lord lord.

The "minors plan" is far from a guarantee to ever work out. The reality is most prospects, even highly rated ones, either don't make it at all at the MLB level or don't become anything more than a decent player but nothing special. We will be very fortunate if our supposed top rated farm system ever produces a difference making type of player (bat) at the highest level.

Meanwhile, we'll just keep waiting and waiting for who knows how many years to find out, all the while wasting years of really good starting pitching because they refuse to ever just acquire a couple of good bats. This team could've been a contender the past couple of years if they would've just signed a couple of solid bats, but they've squandered that opportunity by being cheap and dumpster diving and using the excuse that "Our prospects are sooo close guys! Just keep waiting".

Don’t forget he threw away Robbie ray too in that process who is currently pitching like an allstar. There’s so many things he did that make me sick. Hard to think of that many that he did that I’m excited about
