Over 7.5 wins is a no brainer. We have a new Pope. The last two times a new Pope has been selected, The Seahawks made the Super Bowl. It has been determined by the almighty himself. Hard to be an Owl participant with less than 7.5 wins. Now if I could only figure out how to make that bet...

I usually think Vegas is spot on but looking at our schedule I would be shocked if it we don't win 9 games.

Is football God a peer of almighty, or reports to almighty.

A quick caveat if you don’t use a sports betting outfit often.
I live in Phoenix, but spend the summers up north. Last summer I went over to Tulalip to put $500 on the over 7.5 for our team. DraftKings was the broker.
So, I win the bet but to collet I have to either mail the ticket to DKs or cash it back at Tulalip. Weird huh? A local DKs won’t honor a ticket purchased elsewhere.

All over that number. 8 wins is very doable

Its hard to bet on your own team sometimes, its always clouded with your own optimism and fandom
On the flip side though, as a fan you'll know your team better then most bettors
I'd take the over and hope no key pieces get injured

Vegas doesn't want to guess right they want an equal number of bets on each side so they are guaranteed to rake in the spread.

I think we will get more than 7.5 wins but unless it goes up in the next few days (as far more people bet on the over than the under) Vegas got it right.
As a general principal Sportsbooks want equal liabilities on either side, rather than number of bets or money totals. However, it's a professional business and Sportsbooks know the behaviour of gamblers. Fans bet on their own team to do well. They don't bet on other teams to do badly. This betting market is always stacked against the Overs. With 32 teams playing 17 games the maximum win total is 272. (Tied games would further reduce this). The betting market in total for all teams will probably add up to 278 or 279 with the Over prices also generally being shorter than the Under prices. Markets won't be price 'overbroke', but in coin flip terms it'll be -116 Over and -104 Under. Those seeking value will tend to bet Unders.
