That team is so close to a collapse. I can feel it. Aging veterans with injury concerns. They had a decent draft but nothing to overcome if Kittle, Williams, McCaffrey get injured like they so often do. Will Aiyuk return to form?

Aiyuk was a talent to be sure - but he strikes me as one of those guys that may never return to what he once was. And he held out to get his bag - so how is his motivation level?

He's coming off one of his best seasons. I don't know how the contract is structured, but I can't imagine it causing problems in the next few years.

This is a guy I'd think we'd be happier if they didn't pay.

No Kidding. He's been killing the Seahawks for years and you guys are glad they paid him. Travis Kelce is 34, Tony Gonzalez retired when he was 37, Gronk 33. 78 recep, 1100 yards and 8 TD last year

I'm pretty convinced the salary cap rules don't apply to the whiners anyway.

I kid. But it seems like every year they're paying someone the highest salary for their position ever.

Next man up - it's Purdy's turn!

That’s right! We are happy the Niners paid him.

To address your examples with Kelce and Gonzales, both were done and couldn’t lead their teams anymore.

Did you watch Kelce last year? He was a shell of his former self. Kelce, had only a few good games and did not have much of an impact in the entire regular season. Statically, Kelce, was also behind. Kelce, could barely separate and sustain any real value to Mahomes towards the end of the year. KC did go to the Super Bowl but it wasn’t because of Kelce. KC lost more when Rice got hurt.

Gonzales and Gronk played as much as they could and neither could carry their teams anymore cause Gonzales just had too many miles on him and Gronk was just continuously hurt that even New England attempted to trade Gronk to Detroit. New England knew Gronk’s best days were behind him. Even Gronk in Tampa Bay was not the same producer.

So, yeah, Seattle fans are not worried about George Kittle or the Niners. The Niners window has shut and now they paid Kittle, who does have difficultly playing a full season.

CMC that has not played a full season in a few years, Purdy who is looking for a new contract.

If the Niners do not draft well, it will be hard to compensate for how they are now.
Aiyuk, has not been the same since he got paid. He don’t care anymore. If Purdy’s main read is Kittle and check offs to McCaffrey, if CMC is not MVP CMC, then the Niners will struggle on offense to move the ball with defenses easily keying in on Kittle.

It’s over for the Niners. Their window has closed.

Kittle... i believe has played against Seattle... almost half as many times as they've played Seattle because he's always on the bench injured seemingly 1 out of every 2 games Seattle plays them each yr. Add in the fact its usually the games he'll talk shit about Seattle he misses.

Grats on him being paid, dudes soft and injury prone. If I was a gambling man, I would confidently go make bets that he gets injured again this yr.. almost every year he's been in the league.

You should be

In his last 5 games against Seattle , George Kittle has 24 receptions , 427 yards and 7TD . I’ll take Kittle and I am glad they paid him
