Do we have any obvious hole, or holes in our lineup after the infusion of draftees? Some said nose tackle, but we have Murphy and Reed, and our defense may not need a full-time nose?

Well honestly if these shiny new toys don't pan out, we're back where we started. I dunno what an average draft class looks like, by percentage how many dont make the team, how many dont really pan out, dont ever really contribute or get injured after a few years? 50%? 70%? 30%? We have put 10 fingers and duct tape in the dam. Let's hope it holds.

Nobody should be assuming that any of Reed, Demarcus Lawrence, or any of our 2022 class will be here next year. That's...

Charles Cross
Boye Mafe
Tyriq Woolen
Kenneth Walker
Abraham Lucas

Some people may disagree, but none of these guys have jumped off the screen in their overall body of work, for one reason or another. I see them in the same tier as I did guys like Shaquill Griffin and Bruce Irvin - solid, maybe even a little underrated by fans, but their play ultimately didn't demand a second contract.

Then factor in the age of Leonard Williams, Cooper Kupp, Marques Valdez-Scantling (all 30), plus Jason Myers (33), and you'll have my answer on how many holes we have. CB2 for sure. We'll have to re-draft the entire DL outside of Murphy and Mills within probably two to three years. And there's a good chance we're right back to drafting OL next year.

Maybe WR, Maybe CB, Maybe LB

If we add another +talent at one of those positions it could tilt the needle a bit towards the playoffs, etc.

I would certainly argue that LBer is an area by which I'm not yet convinced we're covered adequately by solid acquisitions.

NT is the choice for me. It would be great to free up Murphy more often. Hopefully this year they move him around more
