I have a feeling Kupp is going to earn every bit of his salary and incentives. By NFL standards, he’s no spring chicken.

But, his game has never relied solely on speed. He’s near the top in ‘hands’ (hi-pointing, over the shoulder, catching in coverage etc..). His route running is phenomenal. His work ethic and locker room presence is constantly brought up when folks talk about him…

1-trick pony receivers (i.e., speed freaks) often see a dramatic decline at his age.

If we can bolster our paper-thin O-line, we may be in for some of Kupp’s best years.

I am not convinced that Kupp is better value than Lockett. Kupp is only a year younger and Lockett has a better history of playing through seasons.
So do you want your WR making "business decisions" and laying down beginning contact or fighting for yards at the risk of injury. Hard to have it both ways.

I love Locket, but Kupp is better. Lockett is maybe a little faster and more athletic but Kupp is more physical and has always been one of the better run blocking wrs along with running after the catch. I believe he can still do it.

My standard for a receiver is Larry Fitzgerald. He could take over the game. He would just run a slant and be the most aggressive to the ball and he was unstoppable. Kupp is like Larry more than most receivers I’ve seen. Puca is too. It’s got a ton to do with attitude. Tyler has a great attitude and he is one of the most remarkable receivers I’ve seen too, but I don’t see him taking over the short middle of the field even when everyone knows it’s coming.

Isn't Nwosu #10? Last time I checked he was still a Hawk. Hmm 🤔
Yeah, that pic was an obvious photoshop. They just changed the color scheme. I think Nwosu is negotiating an extension, but is still on the roster for now. Haven't heard what Kupp will wear.

Not to mention the motivation factor. After being teased for release for the last several months, I have to think that signing with Seattle wasn't just about the money.

He wasn’t teased. He was told they would either trade or release him. And I expect he would’ve had a say in a trade as Rams have been pretty good about that with other players.

Rams didn’t treat him badly.

It’s a business after all. Business decisions were made. They were transparent with Kupp about it.

We all love Tyler but come on. Kupp is a much better WR at this point. That's no dig at Tyler, he's my 2nd favorite Hawks WR of all time.
Also, the longer we get into free agency, the better chance he could come back.
JSN/KUPP/MVS/TYLER/BOBO/FANT/K9/CHARBS/DARNOLD.......I'm in.
