If you were a FA, would you want to play for a team that looks poised for a rough stretch, or would you prefer to play for a team that looks close to being pretty good?

That's all I'm saying.

I know some players don't care and just want as much money as possible, but the players that do care about winning probably aren't looking at Seattle as a very desirable destination right now.
So Dalman chose the Bears because of winning? Really? They have been terrible for years.
Really don't think Geno and DK factored in at all.
More likely your just annoyed they are gone than this affected Dalmans decision.

Kinda like how we had to settle at OC when everyone on here claimed we'd have our pick of them.

He absolutely needs to hit bullseyes with 1 or 2 OL upgrades in the positions of weakness. But they aren't going to redo the entire OL like the Bears did.
The problem is John won't use the cap $ & draft capital to really fix this OLine.

We need to bring in 4 solid guys.
2 guards.
One center or G/C.
1 or 2 swing tackle prospects.

Two of our top 5 draft picks need to be OLine.
There are 2 or 3 top IOL but the OT class is much deeper with options of a guy who could move inside, multiple positions or swing tackle. Need to upgrade backup OT over Stone/Fant.
Our IOL is in shambles and they can not count on guys like Haynes to turn it around and save the day.

It needs to be said again...
We need to bring in 4 *SOLID* OLine.
We have the draft picks and the FA $.
We should also carry one extra OL on the roster over their usual number. This influx would greatly upgrade both starting & backup positions. The line would require very little attention for the next couple years allowing our big 2026 FA year to focus on other positions.

If, by some frickin' miracle, this offensive line gets fixed in proper fashion THIS offseason... Then maybe we can relax after screaming for OL for 15 years.

Final thought: As our OLine goes, so goes our QB.

Lulz. You're missing my point despite my point being crystal clear.

Oh well.

For those of us who know, John is that guy who plays games that collects a bunch of items or material and refuses to use any of them because they "may need it later".

Now they are saying 100.5 mill? Even better. Maybe 110 is with incentives?
