I think it's kinda weird that some people think it's impossible to improve from 9/10 wins, but if you get really bad for 1 year, you'll almost certainly get much better. If a team gets really bad, it's very likely that team remains really bad for longer than just a single season. Sometimes much longer.
It's not impossible but the seahawks have been stuck in that roughly same win pattern for a few years now. Whether that's on JS or not im not sure

Who are all these posters that have been preaching that Geno is elite all year? I was here all season, and for years before that, and I think I remember like 1 person that said Geno is elite, and I'm pretty sure I remember that 1 person got ridiculed pretty mercilessly by many of you.

For that matter, who are all these pro Geno folks that have said Geno is impossible to replace? I have not seen a single poster say Geno is impossible to replace. Difficult to replace for next season given the available options? Sure. Impossible to replace? Nah. Haven't seen that said here ever.
It's a weird culture war they've been waging with strawman arguments for years. The only way to win is to not play.

Losing invites more losing. Its why bad organizations are consistently bad and good organizations are consistently good.

There is nothing good about losing.
Not disagreeing with the idea of "tanking" per se, but this GM moved on from Hass for TJack and moved on from Russ for Geno and never really missed a beat.

Not always. I think you need some good string ownership. Liners have had a few stinking seasons that they used to retool pretty quickly

We'll see if it works again. I'm not saying it can't, per se - but I'm more than a little worried that Pete's QB whispering was the glue that held it together.

Can guys please stop with that?
Dart is the rising Star, no Chance he is available in Round 2 and your saying late Round 3?
The draft is so unpredictable…you may be right.

I haven’t paid enough attention to the QBs in this upcoming draft because, well….thought it was Geno Smith for at least the next 2-3 years.

I want Justin Fields. He'll be less than $10M/per. He can duke it out with Howell for the job. And if he busts, we can take our cap hit and walk away.

He's 26 with 4 years experience. He has been showing improvement every year he's been in the league. And while he's not a big play machine, he keeps the chains moving with his arm and his legs -- which is pretty much what we need from our offense.

Oh, and Myles Garrett too.

Our GM Schneider and HC Macdonald are feeling much better after reading your posts on how we have gotten the better of the Raiders on the Geno trade and why moving on from DK is the wise move.

They appreciate y'all.

Yo Toff…tell them me and KamCuss want to go ahead and just, well you know, sign Myles Garret while we at it.

Trading Geno is not tanking.

Agreed, but as much as we all want a better QB than Geno, ending up with a worse QB is just as likely, if not moreso.

Its the right move when he wants to be paid with multiple year guaranteed money at that age and an up and down year last year.

It would appear that Pete Carroll, Chip Kelly, and Tom Brady think Geno is worth trading for and extending. 🤷‍♂️

I am in awe of how Carroll talked Brady and Kelly into signing Geno.

Come on man I’m actually talking to one right now and you know that with Montana. At least try to be honest with this stuff. I’d also argue you bordered on calling him elite. Just own it. Keasely and knownone one, have flirted with it as well.

You’re probably right though, the only noble people in this debate are the Geno supporters lol

I'd rather get Fields than Darnold. Especially with our OLine.
