Reports are Darnold is our next QB for about what we offered Geno 3/$105 million or so. First year cap is always low.

We currently have $62 million in cap right now

Yeah. Trading Geno was not a play to make DK happy, I'm not sure when it became a 'thing' that DK doesn't like Geno (never seen any reporting to that effect).

We'll see, but there were insiders putting the odds of DK coming back at 0% before this news, so I feel like it's probably still more likely than not he's gone.

Probably DK's constant pouting and sulking when Geno didn't throw him the ball

We’re a franchise that has relatively uncommon QB stability for the past 10-15 years in a row. More if skip the few years after Hass.

This is exciting. The team is young. The philosophy seems to built on toughness and physicality. Lets see what we do.

I hope we bypass another bridge (Darnold, Fields, Etc) and grab someone new to mold either this draft or next.

Let the team grow with the new HC and coordinators.

Exciting times ahead fellas. Certainly not the same old same old.

Does John have his sights set on another 3rd round potential QBOTF for the franchise?

I think maybe.

Let's go!!! 1st overall next year!! Howell is gonna guarantee that!
Howell will not be our starting QB unless he plays like one, but ceiling/floor for him is very good for a backup on a rookie contract. They won't extend him unless he proves he's worth extending. Not sure why some people are still so butthurt about the *backup* QB.
