I could throw 35 TD's with J.J.He had 35. You ever watch him play ? Look at his numbers previous 6 seasons. He'll never throw over 30 again. Reminds me of Matt Flynn

An early 3rd for a 34 year old mid level QB and $31,500,000 in cap relief is tremendous compensation. The team should have $63.85 million in available cap going into FA, maybe they will be players.Wow, a third. Not great compensation. Well Darnold isn't getting the offers he thought he might so maybe thats an option. I don't mind him on a modest contract.

it was as well unlikely that the team was going to be able to reach an acceptable contract with Geno.
This is a good trade which signals a serious change of focus for the team.
I'd expect he team will draft at least one young QB this draft.
Wonder if they have talked to the Vikes about JJ McCarthy. They have to be looking at a qb in the draft. Signing off on Darnold makes no sense financially, since all that money you saved by trading Geno would be gone.
and sign with the Raiders for 30??Just saw the Hawks were offering 35, Geno wanted 45. Per Albert Breer.

Ouch. Fair.Geno is going to the best division in football. I don't see him winning his first playoff game next season. At least you can say he's consistent.
