If you’re in the Reset camp:

Geno + DK for 6th overall pick.

If JS is struggling to get a 1st+ for DK, (any team will have to pay him $30M anyway) throw in Geno, knowing Pete will probably be on the phone to Tyler too.

Now you’ve basically gutted the offense but JS has 6 + 18 to play with - and suddenly anything is possible

I don't think there is any way that the Raiders do that deal but would absolutely jump on it if possible. Maybe Pete figures he isn't getting any younger and wants to get better ASAP and doesn't give a rats ass about the future? Would be kinda funny to send both Dk and Geno in the same package considering the narrative that they aren't on the same page...

As of today, March 7th, the poll is deadlocked at 22 votes each. Some observations and thoughts:
  1. Radio silence on teams wanting Geno, contrary to teams calling for DK. One can say that DK asked for trade, knowing teams were calling Schneider for him.
  2. DK's trade request wasn't an endorsement for Geno. Nothing like DK taking less to play with Geno. It's more like DK likes to play with Lockett; without Lockett, he is leaving.
  3. As far as the veteran bridge quarterback market goes, there is more supply than demand. Can Geno compete with Rodgers, Wilson, Cousins, etc.,? Justin Fieds too?
Geno has no leverage at this point, Hawks can either have him finish the last year on his contract or extend him with minimum guaranteed money.

OK finally some noise on Geno, from none other than the Raiders, sounded like Pete is putting Geno's name up there, but will it pass Brady and Chip?

I still think Sam Darnold ends up there. I'm not opposed to having a stop gap this year at the right price for Geno but we 100% need to draft a qb in 2026

For Geno, he would wish to have 2-3 teams calling Schneider, at this point, he might just have one call from the Raiders. He would love to have another team calling Schneider.

Schneider literally just said YESTERDAY on his show that they are talking to several teams about DK. It's his weekly show on 710 ESPN. He didn't sugar coat it.

On the other hand, he barely talked about Geno. Interesting.

Well, the Goat knows a good QB when he sees one. IF he signs off on bringing Geno in? Clearly Geno is better than I give him credit for.

Well, he probably already is :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: 🍿 🍿 🍿 🍺 ✌️

As you know, I am a Geno Smith fanboy. That said. some questions about him puzzles me:
  1. His reluctance to run, although he is still very speedy, see chat below, higher topspeed than JSN, Charbonnet and our CBs, lol, even Woolen.

  2. His questionable relationship with teammates. In his pressers, he often talked about his leadership. I seldom see any closeness of him and the boys.
  3. Hearing foot steps, he's under pressure more than other QBs, maybe the constant pressure has messed him up a little bit.
I still think that he is one of the best QB among the league's "touchable" starting QBs. I consider the likes of Mahomes, Allen etc untouchable.
