Get rid of his ass. For the last time, you're not going to a Super Bowl anyway with Geno so just take your lumps for a year. And again, there's no guarantee that a rookie or another veteran would do worse than Geno did last year anyway.

What I THINK will happen: JS sticks to his guns and makes Geno play the last year of the deal.

I think Geno should play out the last year of the deal. Extension makes no sense if the WR room is being blown up with JSN and Bobo as your new starters on paper. It makes no sense to extend Geno at this point with such roster turnover.

Geno… better offensive line without his top 2 receivers and shifting to a running team.
Transition is hard, but I can see them taking a hard look at next generation. This team may still be 2-3 seasons out from a Bowl. If so, then building it right has to be the highest priority.

Speculation there, we dont know if its a better offensive line yet, and When DK didnt play... Geno seemed to move the ball around more and do better, especially to JSN, so if anything without 1 of his "top receivers" and that'd be lockett.

We'll see, but I'm not getting so negative yet.
I think having the Tyler news coupled with the DK request on the same day has made people really conflate these two things into a complete decimation of our WR corps when the reality is we only have one big thing happening, which is potentially needing to trade our #1* WR.
As good as I feel like Tyler still was, he was still a WR3 with a WR1s contract. Him being cut would have, in a vacuum, been a net positive move for this team's roster construction and today should have just been spent mourning the passing of the Tyler era but mostly feeling like everything in Seattle was continuing as expected... since everyone, including Tyler, expected him to be gone.
And DK might not even really be gone. He would not be the first (and he certainly won't be the last) WR to talk about how he wants to be traded--to a contender, I say!--and then sign a big extension to stay with his current team. (Hello Mr. Aiyuk, your table is right this way...)

Lockett was a warm body last year and DK's production can certainly be replaced

Voted extension. We’re dumb enough to do it. Yep…I flipped.
No O-line. DK and Lockett out. JSN…love him. I’m an OSU fanboi…he doesn’t get the yards he did last season without the big guy out there with him.
Jones isn’t re-signed yet. Our defense has top 5 potential but we’re going to have to put some points up here and there.
I’d prefer we tear it down.
