NFL ratings are down this year if I'm not mistaken. I bet the ratings for the SB are lower this year than last. Nobody wants to watch that trash.

The super bowl is where the non football fan watches..big parties with people who only know who the Chiefs are..lots of fans wondering does Kelce bend the knee to Taylor in the confetti after the win? Which celebs will be there? It'll be huge...and for the die hard fan that still knows who Cary Williams was theyll say their not watching but will have the TV on at 9am to watch 6 hrs of bs pregame and 5 hrs of football after...Nfl comes out as a winner again!

Only game I wanted less was Rams Chiefs. I’ll still watch and root against the three peat but I really don’t want either team. Hopefully we can get a good game. I think with Barkley we have a good chance of it being at least a close game.

Forget a close game. I want the Eagles to repeat what they did to Washington.

I want them to double them up by halftime.

Once I heard a commercial went for 8 million I pretty much said **** the nfl and corporate garbage in total.

Imagine how many kids could eat and be housed - merika is ******* gross

How do you think they pay for players and stadiums and such. It’s all paid for with tv revenues. Ticket sales are just gravy on top. To get tv revenues they have to sell the ads. This is the only model that keeps escalating contracts so no player or executive will ever want to do otherwise. Heck even streamers are selling ads nowadays.

True. As everything has a price everything becomes less meaningful. More mass produced garbage.

But to each their own. It just doesn’t add anything meaningful to my existence

Yeah I actually didn't know the SB was tomorrow until a friend asked today if I was going to watch it. I literally have no interest in it at all, because I feel the Chiefs are "destined" to win the 3peat and rub all our faces in it. I'm tired of dynasties, parity in the NFL is such a joke. If the Eagles win, I'll watch the replay but otherwise I don't even care.

Betting money is a bit all over the place right now so not sure if this will have an affect on the outcome.
I've said it before elsewhere but if betting in my state was legal I'd bet mad money on the Chiefs because I don't have a doubt in my mind that they don't want Mahomes/Mr Swift to lose.

Football isn’t meant to be meaningful unless you are part of the team. For the fans it’s supposed to be entertaining. Whether this particular game will entertain me is yet to be seen but with all the pomp and circumstance surrounding this game I’ll get plenty of entertainment value tomorrow myself.

I’m just here for the wine and junk food. I am going on a major lifestyle “adjustment” as of Monday so the Super Bowl is my last chance to be gluttonous for quite sometime.

I don’t hate the Chiefs like I did the Patriots during their dynasty. The Kelce/Swift thing is barf but Mahomes strikes me as a cool dude. I’m still rooting for the Eagles because of Barkley. Would love to see him run for 180+ on them with no chance to come from behind in the 4th like they always do.

I’m not even going to watch any pregame shows or any pomp and circumstance nonsense. I’ll simply turn the game on at kickoff.

I understand the society of the spectacle. But I also find mass produced garbage to be less and less entertaining.

The game has devolved with more focus on capital gains than a physical contest. Which has made it less entertaining because of the implications.

We make our own meaning - not someone else or some television commercial telling us (although most Americans gladly accept being told what matters)

Anyway **** the rabbit hole - it has no value to most anymore anyway.
