Nor do I think he needs to go anywhere this season. Bolt on as many Oline fixes, get a decent balanced and *intelligent* attack going and see how the season goes. And oh yea, draft a QB.

"Yeah. Heck yeah, man," Macdonald said. "Geno's our quarterback. I don't understand the conversation. It's pretty obvious this guy is a heck of a quarterback. He's our quarterback. We love him. Can't wait to go to work with him."

"We've had a lot of non-football conversations -- to keep it legal -- over the last month or so," Macdonald told the TV station, referring to Smith. "And I know he's really excited about Klint taking over. This guy, he's a great player, man. And we can win a championship with Geno Smith. We really believe that and can't wait to get back to work with him."

Should tell you everything we need to know at this point. 👏 👍

the pump before the dump. They want him to restructure so they can take a QB next year. This year is a disaster for QBs in the draft. 1 more year of inexplicable red zone picks, and we will move on. If we can run the ball even at a mediocre level next year we can have Geno get a bit more aggressive rather than all the check down Charlie crap.

There's simply no better replacement for Geno at this time, not even a potential QBOTF to develop behind him, unless you're willing to bank on Sam. No surprise.

Macdonald already announced that Geno's contract is not for him to decide. The decider Schneider ain't said nothing yet.

But that completion % was elite!

Completion percentage, accuracy under pressure, fewest bad throws, adjusted completion percentage, completion of difficult passes. Yeah. But all of that.
Completion % is possibly the lowest correlated stat for success because it’s so dependent on scheme.

Geno is a very accurate passer for sure doesn’t mean he’s top 10 though when evaluating every metric and we can’t ignore tue obvious ones for the sake of our argument.

Here are my thoughts on Geno. I don't care for the guy as I don't think he has the "It" factor a team needs to be successful in the playoffs. He comes off with too much attitude in a negative way. "I Ain't Write Back Though!" comes off as a him against the world. It's a team, bro. Everyone takes accountability. He seems to whine and place blame else where when a play is busted or he throws shit around on the sidelines. That is not a leader to me. Have we ever seen him take responsibility for a busted play? That little tap on the chest means a lot to the guys on the field and the fans watching. If we can't find someone in FA that can get and average for what he's given us the last 3 years, I say keep him one more year. But please draft someone or get a backup that can handle the load.

Here's my caveat: Kubiak runs a different system that focuses on the Offensive line. Maybe Geno gets better with a ZBS line and a good run game. We shall see.

I see him getting mad at himself and he seems to take accountability as well.
We all know he's not perfect, we are used to it since Me3s time and beyond.

He wasn’t accurate the last time I saw him play. Maybe that was DKs fault…
