He was playing Carolina. Not exactly the defensive juggernaut. I do think he'll be a good one though, no doubt.

I thought he was the anti Geno. He delivered on 3rd and twenty for a touchdown rather than an interception or sack. Even his best receiver had the drops its.

You need to stop the hate. Penix is a hell of a QB. Not sure why that bothers some people.

Not saying Penix won’t be a fine qb but yesterday wasn’t a fine example. Neither he nor his receivers had a good game. Robinson carried that te on his back. Penix will be fine long term and that is what should matter to Falcon fans but let’s not pretend he played great against a poor Panthers team with the season on the line.

They really should have made the change sooner. But at least he got a few games under his belt before next season.

Who’s hating on him??? I think he’ll be a great QB and have a solid career…however the loss goes on his permanent record. A loss is a loss, but overall yes, it was a team loss. I thought his running TD was a great play on his part as well.

He missed a few throws, but a lot of those incompletions were once again dropped passes and smart throwaways. The interception was thrown a tad low but thrown to where only the receiver could get it. He had it in his hands and then he threw it straight up in the air.

The TD pass to London on 3rd and 20 was elite.

Once he gets better on not overthrowing guys, he'll be damn good. But what many don't understand, who didn't watch him in college, he almost always bounces back right away. He did it on a regular basis at UW. Overthrow a guy, a couple plays later, throw a beautiful TD.
Also, he is clutch in HUGE moments. It set him apart from most QB's. He's not the first rookie to struggle with accuracy.

I love the Penix hate. It's hilarious. He's nails, always has been.
I have never been a Penix lover - like Soul (hahaahahahahhaahahahahahaha) - but I must admit I was off in my prediction of his performance. I did not think he was NFL starter level - look like I was wrong.

People pulling for QB's they watched in college is not weird at all. It's pretty damn common. And why do you care? Honest question.

Hating a QB who you probably know very little about is weird. See, I can do that too.
This conversation is weird. Who gives a flying F if someone hopes a guy does well in the NFL, even if he's not a Seahawk?
