Had no idea hebwas our nominee for Walter Payton MOTY award. He's a good dude.

Also didnt know that what he was out for wasnt a though bruise, but a torn quad.

Yikes.

Cool that he's been traveling with the team all year. Should make it seamless for him to jump back in this week in terms of scheme fit, communication, etc.

The giddy factor if he can come back and not get injured the rest of the season is through the roof. Adding him to the rotation of what already is a pretty damn great DL?!?

The inside line has been great, but the outside not so much as of late. Between Mafe and Hall, they each have one sack over the last five games. Not consistent enough in my opinion.

My only hope, other than him staying healthy, is that he's up to speed on how to play in this defense. It took half the season for most of the players to figure it out, fingers crossed he's been paying attention too.

As keasley posted earlier..." Cool that he's been traveling with the team all year. Should make it seamless for him to jump back in this week in terms of scheme fit, communication, etc."
So that should help.

He's a DE, just go get the QB. I think he's gonna' get a sack :)

These injuries that Nwosu has had this year, the torn pec and the torn quad, are on the rise in the NFL and generally attributed to over-training.

It's a sign that Nwosu is dedicated to hard work, but he should probably not over-work his body. It's not unusual for someone trying to come back from injuries to hit the weights a little too hard in a desire to come back stronger than ever.

Realistically it may take Nwosu a game or two to get back to playing speed and playing shape. His return can only be seen as a good thing as the pass rush depth has been significantly deepened.

Assuming he'll have to kick off some rust, but he was trending up before he went down. Tempered excitement for now.

Yeah but doesn't Macdonald have his line players like drop into coverage, do a bunch of pre snap motions, stunts and crochet blankets back there? I'm not a big X's and O's guy but I've heard his D is pretty complicated. I think you're right though, he'll be right in the middle of it.
