Any names? Now that Connor Williams quit on the team and his teammates 2 days before a match. We have no choice but to play Olu, but we ought to remember that after an off season of evaluations, our coaching staff turned to acquiring a FA center weeks before first regular season game. Olu was also got out competed by Evan Brown.

Any FA center out there?

Roll with Olu and see if he develops. Williams was signed because there was early thoughts of a Super Bowl run. Now that they hype has cooled, time to kick some tires…

Now? Not likely there are any game ready centers out there on the street. I suppose we could poach one off of someone's practice squad, but what is the likelihood of one of them being better than Olu? Sounds unlikely.

Time for Oluwatimi to step up.

As much as it pains some people we need to ride it out with olu the rest of the year. By the off-season we will know if we have something or if we need to pour resources into the position

I hope olu proves you wrong
I hope he proves me wrong too, but the lack of playing time he has gotten so far is discouraging. Whatever confidence the team had in him coming into the offseason seemed to have been lost quickly.

I said something similar about Coby Bryant too though, and he's balling out now. Would be nice if I went 0-2.

I think with olu it was just a chance to get what was a top 5 center for cheap. Nothing Olu did per se. Olu just needs playing time. If he ends up doing well then that’s 1 less O line position to pour resources into. With how bad the line has been it could be a plus. I suspect it will take him a couple games but this is a positive. I’m rooting for him to succeed.

As a 12, I hope that Olu can one day become an adequate center, although coaches from two regimes voted no-confidence on starting him.

Now, who do we have on the team that was forced to sit behind better players for a while and then turned out OK?

I think his initials were GS or something... :)

Roll with Olu and Jared .. You have to see what they got.
Agreed. May as well keep taking inventory on others as well. Itll be a blessing in the long run to know what they have in Coby the safety, Knight, and others. Hell, give Laumea some snaps. It's not like he can be much worse than Bradford.
