Not to mention the stock this year on QB's is pretty mid. It's going to be hard this coming draft to be in the mix for a top rated QB. What is there, nine? 2-win teams, crazy.
Gonna have to start taking some stabs at later round guys and hope to get lucky.
Daddy Deion gonna make sure his son plays for a big market.Let's get Deion Jr. Would be fun to have a personality in Seattle.
Here's how the eight teams who made it past the wild card round of the playoffs last season acquired their QB.It would be a mistake to try to draft one
Mistake as in don’t draft a QB because the OLine should be addressed first or mistake just because? It would be a mistake to try to draft one
I keep hearing this draft will be pretty weak across the board, not just the QBs.Not to mention the stock this year on QB's is pretty mid.
Because trying to get a franchise one in the draft is like trying to win the lottery. How many qb busts have there been?Mistake as in don’t draft a QB because the OLine should be addressed first or mistake just because?
I'm just clarifying here. You're saying that drafting a QB should never be an option because there is a possibility that they could be a bust?Because trying to get a franchise one in the draft is like trying to win the lottery. How many qb busts have there been?
I hope you're joking. I'd like Seattle to win another SB before I crap my pants and die.Let's get Deion Jr. Would be fun to have a personality in Seattle.
On the other hand, many teams who drafted their QB *didn't* make the playoffs. Not sure I see any kind of causal relationship here. Here's how the eight teams who made it past the wild card round of the playoffs last season acquired their QB.
Made it to divisional round:
Texans - drafted
Packers - drafted
Bucs - free agency
Bills - drafted
Made it to conference championship:
Ravens- drafted
Lions - traded
Made it to Super Bowl
Niners - drafted
Chiefs - drafted
Over the past three seasons, the only teams to make their conference championship game without a QB they drafted were the two involved in the Stafford-Goff swap.
Drafting doesn't look like such a bad idea.
Always amused by the the Draftphobics on here. "It's such a crap shoot! OUR draft pick, no matter where it is, is too low to get a good [insert position]. That just means your GM is horrible.
The moron JS has drafted ONE QB since RW. That in itself is stupid not to draft a late round QB every couple of years to try to develop a bit or use as trade bait. Of course at least he hit on ONE QB since I am not sure he has even hit on that many O-Line picks. But at least we drafted the Walking Penalty in Ifedi. Other than that his picks are generally injured missing more games than they play and then being so rusty they stink. "But but but . . . Injuries . . . " Other teams don't seem to have the problem to the same extent as our 2nd rate GM does. "Bu but but Pete called the shots" Well if so JS is a lazy figurehead that needs replacing. /endsminirant
The stafford Goff swap almost doesn’t countHere's how the eight teams who made it past the wild card round of the playoffs last season acquired their QB.

I’m pretty sure almost every quarterback in the nfl was drafted by somebodyBecause trying to get a franchise one in the draft is like trying to win the lottery. How many qb busts have there been?
