I think a lot of folks took that 3-0 start as some sign of greatness. I also think most fans here were looking past the warts and moles on the roster as we moved into this season. "Rome was not built in a day". It took Pete a couple of years to get his team together and get a Superbowl win. And he had been a prior NFL Head Coach and Collegiate National Champion Head Coach. Give Mike Macdonald some time to get his guys. Not just his players, but his staff as well.
As a former Houston Texans' Fan, I spent too many years b*tching and moaning about poor coaching, poor players, piss poor front office, and all the "whoa is me, my team sucks!" crap. Twenty-three years and they are 5-7 in the playoffs. Can't get past the divisional round. Twenty-three years... and never sniffed a Superbowl.
The Seahawks took thirty-seven years to get their first Superbowl. This is only the eleventh year since the Hawks' last win; ten since their last visit. Things take time to gel. That offensive line is one of the worst that I've ever seen. And still Geno Smith is leading the league in passing yards and fifth in completions! All behind a line that can't stop anything or create a lane for Kenneth Walker III.
For my own sanity and blood pressure, I turn off the game when it gets terrible. I just breathe, relax, and find something else entertaining on Sundays.
