Here's another stat, he has the most fumbles for a wr since 2019.This is all silly.
First of all, DK's 11 targets in this game compare to Smith-Njigba's 9, Lockett and Walker's 8, Fant's 6, and 6 others to 4 other players, so the ball is being spread around just fine. A game of 52 passing attempts was not the best time for you to make this argument.
Second, it's well into "tell me you've never watched another team without telling me" territory if you think DK is a detriment. What a detriment looks like is well-trodden territory and this is far more mild.
Third, you're talking about someone who had three straight 100-yard games this year and a history of tough, contested catches in previous seasons, regardless of what anyone's selective memory is telling them right now. Go watch his reels from his first two years. You'll remember. He isn't getting the ball to keep him quiet, he's getting the ball because Geno knows what he can do. He would know.
Finally, yeah, he's not going to get the pay he wants, but that's because of the runaway nature of contracts. NOBODY is getting paid what they want.
I dunno, righteous absolutist condemnations lofted from on high tend to turn me off. Scapegoat mentality up to 11 this week.
He's not a good receiver, he's only not terrible because he's an athletic freak who's speed and size demand attention, because he can use that to get open. He also never high points the ball. He never attacks the ball in the air, he always lets it come to him. He can't box defenders out with his size and smaller DBs out physical him all the time. He runs lazy routes all the time and one of Genos ints in the Giants game was because of that.
It's his 6th year and he's making the same stupid mistakes. It seems like he's gotten a little better at not letting opponents get in his head for penalties, whooptie doo, he gets a gold star for that.
