It can't hurt, our LBs are struggling in run defense. Maybe he can do good in our system. I've heard someone on the radio say it's similar to what Bowles likes to do.

We'd only need him as a backup. Our linebackers are actually the bright spots of this defense.

There are rumors of his play falling off and I believe there were rumors of him wanting a decent payday when he left Tampa. Maybe this humbles him a bot and he realizes if he wants to keep playing he needs to prove himself again. I do remember watching him in Tampa a few times and being really impressed. Maybe the coaches could use him creatively in specialized ways to get the most out of his talent.

It's unclear what's going on with Devin White. He's never been a great player despite the fact that he was the 5th overall pick in the 2019 draft and made the Pro Bowl. According to the Athletic, Fangio said that he won the starting job in Philly, but then he tweaked his ankle and he hasn't played a snap all season.

His contract may have something to do with this move. Apparently by releasing him now, the Eagles get out of paying him and White gets to go free without clearing waivers.

He's only 26 years old, but he's never been graded very highly by PFF. His reputation is that he's not good against the run.
