He's a prime example that the draft is a gamble, no matter how good you are at it.This was a guy drafted in the 2nd round but now has 6th round value. He's a prime example of diminished returns.

The early Pete tenure kind of spoiled us in terms of what to expect from a draft. He's a prime example that the draft is a gamble, no matter how good you are at it.
He was injured at the time he was drafted and had to spend a whole year rehabbing. He should have never been drafted in the 2nd round. It was a terrible choice at the time. He's a prime example that the draft is a gamble, no matter how good you are at it.
Actually, the answer is two... our native pick and the one for Taylor. How many 6ths do they now have for the ‘25 draft? They moved from the 7th to the 6th with the MJ trade. Now a 6 for Taylor. JS must see a lot of talent in next years 6th round.
How did the Bears fleece us? Got a pick for a player that wasn't making the final 53I'm not saying the Bears fleeced us, but the Bears fleeced us. I feel used and dirty. Way to go John.
No Cheers
If Taylor's value was greater than a 6th, JS would have traded him elsewhere.I'm not saying the Bears fleeced us, but the Bears fleeced us. I feel used and dirty. Way to go John.

So you would've rather cut him for no return?I'm not saying the Bears fleeced us, but the Bears fleeced us. I feel used and dirty. Way to go John.

If he is worth a 4th, some team would have offered it.look,.... Taylor was worth a 4th, I'd settle for a 5th, but a 6th ! That makes my butt cheeks hurt.
No production = no trade offers for Eskridge. Time to cut ties. Now, if we get a 6th…hell…anything for Eskridge, it’ll confirm that God’s favorite team is the Seahawks.
I wonder if we have a glaring need this season and its hurting us if we make a trade with those mid round picks. I can't imagine them using them all in the draft. (I wouldnt touch or 1st or 2nd rd picks this year in any trade)Actually, the answer is two... our native pick and the one for Taylor.
The MJ trade was a straight up player for player swap... no draft picks. The trade you're thinking of was the Nick Harris trade to CLE... but the swap of 6th and 7th round picks isn't until 2026.
We also expect to be awarded two comp picks in 2025 according to otc.com... a 4th and a 5th.
So right now, I believe that we have a total of 9 picks:
Our 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th and 7th (we traded our 5th to NYG for Big Cat)... plus the comp 4th and 5th rounders... plus a 6th for Darrell Taylor.
Wonder if we are looking for a nose tackle next. Hankins is the main one but not much depth there. This is another "fit" move. Darrell Taylor never quite expanded his role beyond that of a pass rush specialist.
John did right by Taylor in trading Darrell to a team with room for a rush specialist. Maybe he can expand his role in Chicago.
This move will increase available cap space by a little under $2.2M.
